Sacred Keepings

Sacred Keepings Sacred Keepings was created to provide exceptional postpartum care to those who have recently delivered newborns. This is the role of a Postpartum Doula.

Classes are also available to help strengthen the bond between both parents, the newborn, and their village. As a new parent there are so many questions that parents have that aren't always answered with compassion. There are times when mothers feel overwhelmed and fathers just don't know what to do. My goal is to make sure the mother is cared for an able to properly heal after giving birth. Every

birth is unique and is equally important. It is important to have someone by your side to help attend to you and your family, and to help build your village. I am a mother of two wonderful girls. I had the privilege of being able to deliver both of the my girls in two different countries. My oldest was born in Europe, and the maternal care there was a totally different experience than the one here in the United States. I want to bring the experiences that I had in Europe here to the States. I am apart of the community that takes pride in maternal health. There are so many cultural differences and sometimes they overlooked. I promise that I will do what is needed to make sure you and your newborn will feel comfortable in your new world. My inspiration for this business comes from my grandparents; Edruth, Johnnie, Bernell, and George. I will also hold their teachings, and passions to help other close to my heart.

So blessed to be able to have a quiet brunch with my crew today. One of my Mother’s Day request was brunch minus the crowd. The food and service was AMAZING!

Our waitress, Alyah was heaven sent. She said today was her first day, but the way she knew the menu, and was able@to suggest favorites was perfect! More importantly, she said that she wants the light of Jesus to shine in every situation, and she did just that!

Financial abuse is a form of domestic violence—and it doesn’t always look the way people expect.

It can show up when a partner controls all the money, refuses to provide for basic needs, or shuts down conversations about finances with hostility or dismissal. It can look like being denied access to funds to care for your child, or being made to feel powerless in decisions that impact your daily life.

And the truth is… many people are experiencing this and don’t even realize it has a name.

If this resonates with you, please hear this:
You are not “overreacting.”
You are not “bad with money.”
And you are not alone.

You deserve safety, transparency, and respect in every part of your relationship—including finances.

Awareness is the first step. Support is out there. And there is a way forward. 🤍

Putting a child in timeout is not about abandonment. It’s called teaching emotional regulation. You are redirecting the child to a calming place (no I don’t agree with facing the wall) but you are allowing the child to calm down so that you can then properly focus on behaviors and their reactions.

Happy Saturday!!! As an adult, what is something you longed for in childhood that you now have the freedom to obtain or experience?

When you are in a vulnerable position you can become very susceptible to being attacked or easily manipulated. Please be mindful. Seek therapy in these situations, and draw closer to those who truly love you.
