Helping children build mental wellness skills doesn't require having all the answers. Sometimes it starts with sharing the lessons we've learned along the way.

Looking back, what's one lesson about handling life's challenges that has stayed with you?

Your perspective may inspire another parent, caregiver, educator, or mentor.

Me in Mind by NAMI offers free, age-appropriate activities that help children build emotional awareness, healthy coping skills, and confidence through meaningful conversations.

Most people don’t struggle because they “have too many feelings.” They struggle because they don’t have the language for what they’re feeling.
That’s where the Feelings Wheel can help.
Instead of stopping at:
“I’m mad.”
“I’m stressed.”
“I’m fine.”
Try getting more specific.
Are you feeling hurt? Rejected? Discouraged? Overwhelmed? Insecure? Lonely?
Research shows that being able to identify emotions more clearly helps us regulate them more effectively and communicate with greater understanding and empathy in our relationships.
This week, try using the Feelings Wheel during a conversation with your partner. You might be surprised how much easier it becomes to explain what’s really going on underneath the surface.
Save this for later and send it to someone you want to feel more emotionally connected to 💙
