Every technique has a story.

Tonight I was teaching Hook Kick in our Black Belt Training class, and it reminded me that martial arts is about so much more than kicks.

This technique wasn't created by me. It was passed down to me by instructors who invested their time, knowledge, and belief in my potential many years ago.

Now, decades later, I have the privilege of passing that same knowledge on to the next generation.

Skills fade. Trophies collect dust. But lessons, values, and wisdom passed from one generation to another can last forever.

At Hero Within, we use fun games, movement activities, leadership challenges, sensory integration strategies, and age-appropriate martial arts to help children develop confidence, resilience, coordination, and positive social skills while having an incredible time.

Today the Hero Campers went on a special mission to see The Mandalorian & Grogu 👊🔥

One of the things I love most about Hero Camp is that the kids aren’t just building memories together…

They’re building:
✅ friendships
✅ confidence
✅ leadership
✅ teamwork
✅ imagination
✅ positive community

Movies like The Mandalorian remind us that heroes come in all sizes — and that courage, loyalty, mentorship, and resilience matter both on screen and in real life 👊

So proud of this amazing group of young heroes and the positive culture we are continuing to build together at Hero Within ❤️🔥
