Today is a bittersweet day at McKenzie Family Medicine & MedSpa as we say “see you later” to our Tatum! 💙

Tatum has been one of the friendly faces behind our front desk, keeping things moving, keeping us laughing, and—perhaps most importantly—keeping the office fully supplied with snacks. 😂🍫

If you know Tatum, you know she loves golf ⛳, dogs 🐾, horror movies 👻, a good laugh, and her work family. She has brought so much fun and personality to our office, and we are definitely going to feel the difference without her here.

We are going to miss her more than she knows, but we are so excited for her as she steps into her next chapter and whatever adventures come with it. ✨ We know great things are ahead for her!

Tatum, thank you for all the laughs, all the memories, all the snacks, and for being such a special part of our MFM family. You may be leaving the front desk, but you’ll always have a place here with us. 💙

🔥 August in Texas is so hot, the chickens are laying hard-boiled eggs and the cows are giving evaporated milk. 🐔🥚🐄

That may be a dad joke—but dehydration is no laughing matter!

High temperatures and heavy sweating can cause your body to lose water and salt quickly. Don’t wait until you feel miserable to start hydrating—drink water regularly, take breaks in air conditioning or shade, and pay attention to what your body is telling you.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat exhaustion:

💧 Heavy sweating and intense thirst
🤕 Headache
😵‍💫 Dizziness or lightheadedness
🤢 Nausea or vomiting
🪫 Weakness, fatigue or irritability
🌡️ Elevated body temperature
🚽 Decreased urine output

If symptoms develop, stop activity, move to a cool place, remove unnecessary clothing, use cold compresses and take frequent sips of cool water. Seek prompt medical evaluation.

🚨 Confusion, slurred speech, fainting, seizures or a very high body temperature may signal heat stroke. Call 911 immediately.
