Even with that limited view, there’s a lot going on this week! Lion’s Gate, when the blue star Sirius starts to rise with the sun. A visible planetary parade of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus. The Perseid meteor shower. A new moon and total solar eclipse. Quite a show - all underlined by Leo, fire and the heart!

When your child surprises you...

"Why are they doing this?"

Try asking,

"What might they be feeling?"

You don't need to have the answer.

Curiosity is enough.

Have you ever noticed how the same moment can bring out completely different responses in different children?

You offer the same correction.

One child nods and adjusts.
Another pushes back.
Another goes quiet.

It's easy to assume one child is being cooperative while another is being difficult.

But often, they're simply responding according to how they're naturally wired.

A Royal wants clear expectations.
A Warrior wants to understand why.
A Gardener needs encouragement.
A Lover feels the emotional tone first.
A Priest often needs time to reflect before responding.

When we stop expecting every child to respond the same way, parenting becomes less about managing behavior and more about understanding the child in front of us.

That shift changes everything.

We’re in relation with everything. Animals, trees, birds, bugs; all living beings, including Earth herself. Then there are the unseen connections with other conscious beings and energy fields. So much is happening and affecting us, we can’t possibly hold it all in our mental awareness. What can we do, when our main point of reference is this physical body and life? Focus on what we can understand better – our relations with other humans. We ache for more harmony and love. What gets in the way?

A Gardener naturally nurtures. They notice what others need and find joy in helping people, animals, or even plants grow.

A Lover brings connection. Relationships matter deeply to them, and they often sense the feelings of others before anyone says a word.

A Priest is drawn toward meaning. They ask thoughtful questions, see beneath the surface, and often surprise us with wisdom beyond their years.

These children may not always be the loudest.

But their gifts can become the heart of a family.

Every Energy Signature contributes something essential.

When we recognize those differences, we stop comparing children and begin appreciating the unique way each one is here to serve the world.

A Royal often steps forward because they care.

They naturally notice what needs attention. They like bringing order, helping things work well, and taking responsibility when something matters.

A Warrior has a different kind of strength.

They value honesty. They speak directly. They often question what doesn't make sense and want the freedom to make their own choices.

From the outside, these children can both appear confident.

But they don't need the same kind of support.

A Royal grows when they're trusted with meaningful responsibility.

A Warrior flourishes when their independence is respected and they're invited to participate in decisions.

The more we understand these differences, the easier it becomes to support the child we have - instead of the child we expected.

Over the years I've noticed something fascinating.

Children don't simply have different personalities.

They seem to have different ways of experiencing life itself.

Some naturally lead.

Some nurture.

Some seek harmony.

Some question everything.

Some quietly search for deeper meaning.

I call these Energy Signatures.

But because they help us understand them with greater compassion.
