✨ We have some exciting news! ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome Kristi Calmeyer, MSN, RN to the InnerBirth team!

Kristi will now be providing our families’ first postpartum home visit, typically within 24–36 hours after birth. This visit is such an important part of ensuring both mom and baby are thriving in those precious early days.

Kristi is not only an experienced and compassionate registered nurse, but she’s also a former InnerBirth mama herself. She understands firsthand the journey our families are on and brings both clinical expertise and a heart for holistic, family-centered care. She is currently furthering her education in functional health, allowing her to bring an even deeper level of support and insight to the families we serve.

I couldn’t be more excited for you to meet her. We know you’ll love Kristi as much as we do, and we are so grateful to have her as part of the InnerBirth family. 💛

Please join me in giving her a warm welcome! 🎉

The first pregnancy often gets the photos, the scrapbook, the quiet moments, and the belly rubs.

Then baby two, three, or four comes along and life is louder.

👉🏽More snacks.
👉🏽More schedules.
👉🏽More needs.
👉🏽More chaos.

But this pregnancy still deserves to be honored 🩷.

Even if it’s just a few seconds to place your hands on your belly 🤰, take a breath, and say, “I know you’re in there, and I love you.”

That moment matters.

Your baby matters.

And so do you.

Sometimes a mother’s intuition says, “Something feels off.”

And sometimes labor is just intense, overwhelming, and asking her to stay present one contraction at a time.

🩷Both deserve care.
🩷Both deserve listening.
🩷Both deserve a provider who knows the difference between fear, transition, and true instinct.

That’s why trust matters so much in prenatal care.

Because birth isn’t just clinical.

It’s relational.
It’s emotional.
It’s physical.

And when a mother feels heard, supported, and safe, she can move through labor with more confidence.

Probiotics get a lot of attention 👀 , but fiber is what helps feed the good bacteria you’re trying to support.

This matters even more during pregnancy, when digestion can slow down and constipation can become a real struggle.

Fiber helps…
✅support healthy gut bacteria,
✅regular bowel movements,
✅and better digestion overall.

So before spending money on another probiotic, make sure your body is getting the fiber it needs to actually support the process.

Pregnancy health is not just about the baby 🤰 growing.

It is also about the environment your body is creating.

✅Your gut.
✅Your microbiome.
✅Your immune system.
✅Your vaginal flora.
✅Your overall homeostasis.

👉🏽All of it matters.

For many families, probiotics and fermented foods can be a helpful part of supporting gut health during pregnancy.

That first exposure can play an important role in laying the foundation for their developing immune system.

🩷Healthy mom.
🩷Healthy microbiome.
🩷Healthy foundation.

❌Not all prenatals are the same.

✅Quality matters.
✅Absorption matters.
✅And your body has to actually recognize what you’re giving it.

That’s why I usually recommend looking for a high quality, bioavailable, and food based prenatal.

Epidurals are often talked about like they are automatically “good” or automatically “bad.”

But birth is not that black and white.

Sometimes a mom has been in labor for days.

👉🏽She is exhausted.
👉🏽Her body cannot rest.
👉🏽Her contractions are no longer productive.
👉🏽Her energy stores are gone.

And in those moments, an epidural may give her body the rest it needs to reset.

👉🏽Sometimes she wakes up complete.
👉🏽Sometimes she gets the energy to push.
👉🏽Sometimes it helps her avoid a C-section.

That does not mean every mom needs one.

It means every mom deserves informed and compassionate care.
