⭐ Success Story ⭐

Teresa came to Life Care Center of Burlington on June 6 following hospitalization due to metastasis to her spine, which caused weakness and numbness in the lower half of her body. Teresa could propel her wheelchair short distances, but required assistance for transfers, personal care tasks, and was unable to walk at the time of her admission. She did physical and occupational therapy 5 times per week with the goal of successfully returning home with her spouse. Teresa did exactly that on June 25! 👏 When she discharged, she was independently transferring, walking short distances, and independent with personal care and daily tasks. It was such a pleasure to work with Teresa and be a part of her recovery. We wish her the best in her success of returning home! ❤️

Laurie Goracke, COTA/DOR said, "Teresa was such a joy to work with. She always came to therapy with a smile on her face and willing to do the exercises and rehabilitation she needed to return to the level she needed to be in order to return home." 🏡
