Another excellent free resource from I Love U Guys

For years, we've heard the same question: How do we teach the Standard Response Protocol to our youngest learners in a way that's age-appropriate, trauma-informed, and doesn't create fear?

For a while, we thought the best way to provide educators with support was with a video. But that didn't feel quite right.

So we asked ourselves a different question: What's one of the safest, most familiar moments in an elementary classroom?

Story time.

Today, we're pleased to introduce "Learn From the Helpers: 5 Actions That Keep Us Safe," a children's book and companion PreK-2+ classroom resources designed to help educators introduce school safety through familiar helpers, comforting conversations, and engaging stories.

Along with the book, you'll find lesson plans, social stories, classroom posters, coloring activities, Spanish translations, and more. All created to help educators teach with confidence while helping students feel safe, supported, and prepared.

A special thank you to our very own Betsy Miller for writing the story, and to Cleonique Hilsaca for bringing it to life with beautiful illustrations.
