Nearly five years ago, Tiny came to Lake Cumberland Recovery and started as an intern. Since then, we’ve watched him grow, serve, learn and eventually step into his role as Men’s Director.
But the title really only tells a small part of what Tiny does.
For years, he was the guy behind the scenes making sure things got done. He worked alongside every Men’s Director we’ve had, helping with documentation, compliance, insurance requirements and about a hundred other things most people never see. When the opportunity finally came for him to become Director himself, he was more than ready because in so many ways, he’d already been doing the work.
And becoming Director never changed the way he serves. Tiny will still jump in to serve lunch, help clean, handle something on the computer or do whatever else needs to be done that day. Nothing is beneath him.
Tiny found a calling in helping others through recovery, and he has given so much of himself to this place and the people in it. He’s loyal, dependable, humble, and has one of the biggest hearts you’ll find anywhere.
We’re incredibly thankful that Jesse “Tiny” Mullins is part of the Lake Cumberland Recovery family, and we’re proud of the man and leader he’s become.
Tiny, thank you for nearly five years of showing up and giving this place your all. We love you, brother.
