June is PTSD Awareness Month

Trauma can affect anyone. PTSD is a mental health condition that may develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. While PTSD is often associated with military service, it can also impact survivors of abuse, violence, accidents, loss, medical trauma, first responders, healthcare workers, and many others.

PTSD may present in different ways, including intrusive memories, anxiety, hypervigilance, difficulty sleeping, emotional numbness, and avoidance of reminders associated with traumatic experiences. These symptoms can affect relationships, daily functioning, physical health, and recovery from substance use disorders.

The good news is that healing is possible. With the right support, treatment, and resources, individuals can learn healthy coping skills, build resilience, and move forward with hope.

This month, we encourage our community to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and support those affected by trauma. Recovery is not about forgetting the past—it is about learning that the past does not have to define the future.

Trauma may be part of your story. Healing can be part of your future.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, mental health concerns, or co-occurring challenges, help is available.

Emerging Drug Alert: What You Should Know About Cyclorphine-

A powerful synthetic opioid known as cyclorphine is being identified in the illicit drug supply and is contributing to a growing number of overdose incidents across the country.

Many individuals may unknowingly be exposed to cyclorphine because it is often mixed into other substances sold as fentanyl, counterfeit prescription medications, or other street drugs.

Understanding emerging substances in the drug supply is critical for individuals, families, professionals, and communities.

Awareness can help prevent overdose, encourage early intervention, and connect people to life-saving treatment.

Here are a few important facts:
• Cyclorphine is an extremely potent synthetic opioid that can rapidly slow or stop breathing.
• It may be present in substances without a person's knowledge, increasing the risk of accidental overdose.
• Signs of an opioid overdose can include slowed or stopped breathing, blue or gray lips or fingertips, unresponsiveness, and loss of consciousness.
• Naloxone (Narcan®) remains an important life-saving medication and should be administered immediately if an opioid overdose is suspected.
• Due to the potency of synthetic opioids, multiple doses of naloxone may be necessary while awaiting emergency medical services.

Substance use disorder is a treatable medical condition, and recovery is possible. Early intervention can save lives and improve long-term outcomes.

Celebrating Pride Month: Recovery, Belonging, and Authenticity

At Abria Recovery & Detox, we believe every individual deserves access to compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care. During Pride Month, we proudly recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.

Research continues to show that LGBTQ+ individuals experience disproportionately higher rates of mental health concerns and substance use disorders due to factors such as stigma, discrimination, social isolation, and barriers to care. These realities reinforce the importance of creating treatment environments where individuals feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

At Abria, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture where every person is treated with dignity and respect. We strive to provide affirming, individualized care that recognizes each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and recovery goals.

Our continuum of care includes:
Medically Monitored Detox Services
Women’s High-Intensity Residential Treatment
Intensive Outpatient Programming
Men’s IOP with Lodging
Recovery Support and Aftercare Planning

This Pride Month, we celebrate diversity, honor authenticity, and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that all individuals have access to quality treatment and recovery support.

💜 Recovery is for everyone.
💜 Everyone deserves to feel safe in treatment.
💜 Healing happens when people are seen, heard, and valued.
💜 Hope and recovery are possible for all.

In behavioral health, access to care does not happen by accident. It takes relationships, responsiveness, coordination, and a willingness to solve problems that often prevent individuals from getting the help they need.

At Abria Recovery & Detox, we are focused on more than providing services — we are focused on expanding access to care through strong partnerships, streamlined processes, multiple levels of support, and a commitment to treating every individual with dignity and respect.

From detox and residential treatment to outpatient support and care coordination, our goal is to help remove barriers and create clearer pathways to healing for the individuals and families we serve.

We are grateful for the providers, hospitals, social workers, case managers, counties, and community partners we collaborate with every day. Better outcomes happen when systems work together.

Over 21 million Americans are living with at least one addiction.

Only about 10% receive treatment.

That gap is not caused by a lack of need. It is often driven by stigma, fear, uncertainty, and not knowing where to begin.

Many people wait until things feel completely unmanageable before reaching out. The truth is, you do not have to hit rock bottom to ask for help.

At Abria Recovery & Detox, we are committed to removing barriers to treatment by providing compassionate support, rapid admissions, and guidance through every step of the process.

If today is the day you are ready to explore your options, we are ready to help.

No judgment. No shame. Just real support and a clear path forward.

Addiction doesn’t look one way.

It doesn’t have a single face, age, profession, or background.

It can show up quietly in kitchens, boardrooms, college campuses, construction sites, and family homes. It affects teenagers, parents, grandparents, and people from every walk of life.

If you or someone you love is struggling, you are not alone.

We see you. We hear you. And we are here to help.

Recovery is possible, and it often begins with one honest conversation.

Whether you are exploring treatment for yourself, a loved one, or a client, our team is available to answer questions, discuss options, and help identify the next appropriate step.

Help is available today.
