We finished out evaluating Your Mind, Your Body, Your Family, and Your Church.

As you're working on your inventory, don't forget to keep it balanced. You don't want to burden yourself with all of the negative. Include the positive things as well. And be sure to lean on your sponsor throughout this process. This is going to be work and they can offer you guidance to keep yourself focused and on the right track.

Last night your child learned that people who hurt them aren’t bad people; they’re people who’ve also been hurt. We all have scars from hurts. To deal with hurt, your child learned to ask God to help them choose forgiveness and to turn the other cheek.

Key verse: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

Parents – Show your child a scar on your body and tell the story behind it. Encourage your child to show you a scar and tell the story behind it, too. Encourage your child to talk about any hidden scars in their heart. Be open to their hurt feelings and scars. Be ready to ask for forgiveness if those scars were caused by you.

Tonight is lesson 20: Inventory

Key verse: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

This week your child will learn that we choose our own character traits – including how we deal with anger. That God wants us to forgive others the same way He forgives us.

Celebrate Recovery is expanding in the West Chester/Liberty Township area!!

In June, we will have Wednesdays at Northstar West Chester. Center Pointe will shift to Thursdays.

Both CRs will still be starting with dinner at 6:30pm. Celebrate Place childcare will be offered at both locations. Large group and worship will begin at 7pm.

This is an exciting time for Celebrate Recovery to be able to offer more meetings and reach more people!!

Last night your child learned that God gives us a list of positive character qualities in Galatians 5:22-23 and that we each decide our character traits. They took an inventory of their character traits from before they started with Celebration Place and one with changes they’ve seen so far or hope to see, then shared with a partner.

Key verse: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

Parents – Tell your child one or two positive character traits you see in them. Use the list from Galatians 5:22-23 if you want: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Then explain to your child one of the qualities where God is helping you make positive changes. Invite your child to share their “before and after” list with you and encourage your child’s many positive choices.
