🦶 FOOT HEALTH EDUCATIONAL SERIES — EPISODE 3

Peripheral Neuropathy: Don’t Ignore the Warning Signs in Your Feet

Numbness. Tingling. Burning. Changes in balance.

These symptoms are easy to dismiss — but they can be signs of peripheral neuropathy, a condition that affects the nerves responsible for sensation and function in the feet.

Peripheral neuropathy can have many causes, including diabetes, certain medications, vitamin deficiencies, nerve compression, and other medical conditions.

Why does early recognition matter?

When sensation in the feet decreases, small problems can go unnoticed. Cuts, blisters, pressure areas, and wounds may become more serious before you realize they're there.

If you're experiencing persistent numbness, tingling, burning, unusual sensitivity, weakness, or balance changes, a proper evaluation can help determine what's causing the symptoms and what treatment options may be appropriate.

🦶 FOOT HEALTH EDUCATIONAL SERIES – EPISODE 2

Not every case of heel pain is plantar fasciitis.

While plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain, it isn't the only one. Conditions such as Achilles tendon disorders, nerve entrapment, heel bursitis, stress fractures, fat pad syndrome, and inflammatory conditions can produce similar symptoms.

Treating heel pain without knowing the underlying cause can delay recovery and, in some cases, make the problem worse. A thorough evaluation helps identify the true source of your pain so the right treatment can begin.
