November is Native American Heritage Month!

Join us on Monday, November 2, at 12 PM at the Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse as we kick off the month with a proclamation honoring the histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Native peoples.

Our Cultural Specialist and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will be joining the Butte Garden Club at the Archives this Wednesday to share the story behind our new garden! They'll be discussing how the garden brings together Indigenous medicinal plants, traditional foods, and cultural knowledge to create a space for community and wellness.

The meeting is free and open to the public!

Unique to Butte, one of the gardens features native American medicinal plants as well as native grown foods cultivated in the Americas.

Check out this upcoming exhibit from our partners at Imagine Butte Resource Center! Throughout October, the Foreground Gallery will feature the work of Catlin “Katy” Rose Caplette (1982–2022), a Crow artist and storyteller also known as Speaks With Her Colors. Join Katy’s family for an opening gathering on Saturday, October 10 from 2–4 PM to celebrate her life, stories, and artwork.
