🏡 Senior Living: A Road Map for Families

Making decisions about senior living and care can feel overwhelming—especially when families aren't sure what options are available or where to start.

On September 26 from 10:00–11:30 AM at The Depot, the Rocky Mountain Association of REALTORS® Advocacy Committee is hosting a FREE educational event designed to help seniors and their families better understand senior living choices, care options, transitions, and long-term planning.

This is a great opportunity to learn about the options available in our community, ask questions, and gain information that can help your family make informed decisions before a crisis forces you to make them.

📅 September 26
⏰ 10:00–11:30 AM
📍 The Depot – 818 S. Arizona, Butte
💲 FREE

Presenters will include representatives from Big Sky on Waterford and The Springs at Butte, sharing their experience and knowledge about senior living and helping families understand what questions they should be asking.

Whether you're planning for yourself, helping a parent or loved one, or simply want to better understand the options available, we encourage you to attend.

Bring your questions. Bring your family. Leave with a road map.

On August 21st, Big Sky Senior Living hosted a Car Show to help raise money for the Southwest Montana Alzheimer’s Walk! 🚗❤️

Here are a few pictures as everyone was getting set up for what turned out to be a fantastic event.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who brought out a vehicle and entered the car show. Your participation and support helped make the day such a success!

The turnout was incredible—we exceeded last year’s participation as well as the numbers we were hoping to reach this year. It was great to see so many people come together, enjoy some amazing vehicles, and support such an important cause.

Thank you to everyone who participated, attended, volunteered, and helped make the event possible. We appreciate this community and its continued support of the Southwest Montana Alzheimer’s Walk, which will be held on October 4th at Stodden Park! 💜

On August 19th, we had the privilege of serving root b**r floats to the residents at Big Sky Senior Living! 🍨🥤

We truly enjoyed spending time with the residents, visiting, sharing some smiles, and answering questions about Home Care, Palliative Care, and Hospice services.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and joined us! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and always appreciate the chance to spend time with such wonderful people.

Thank you to Big Sky Senior Living for having us! ❤️

What do you really know about hospice?

For many people, the word hospice brings uncertainty, fear, or misconceptions. The reality is often very different.

Recently, I had the privilege of joining Jackie McGrath on Aging Horizons, a program from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, to talk about:

The history and philosophy of hospice
The services hospice provides
Common misconceptions about hospice
The truth about how hospice supports patients and families

Whether you've personally experienced hospice, have a loved one who may need it someday, or simply want to better understand what hospice is really about, I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch.

You might be surprised by what you learn.

Please feel free to share this with anyone who may benefit from learning more about hospice.

🍦 An Afternoon of Sweet Treats and Great Company! 🍦

Yesterday, Trek Healthcare & Hospice had the pleasure of sponsoring a Root B**r Float Social at Big Sky Senior Living, and what a wonderful afternoon it was!

We were thrilled to see such a great turnout and even more grateful for the opportunity to spend time visiting, sharing laughs, and serving delicious root b**r floats to so many wonderful residents, families, and staff.

At Trek, we believe that meaningful connections are just as important as the care we provide. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event so enjoyable. We truly appreciate Big Sky Senior Living for welcoming us and allowing us the opportunity to serve your community.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at our next event!

💚 Thank you for making it such a memorable afternoon!

🌟 Passion 4 Compassion: Meet Madison Dyer 🌟

At Trek Healthcare & Hospice, our team is made up of people who don't just provide care—they genuinely care.

This week, we're excited to introduce Madison Dyer, our Home Care Coordinator and Hospice CNA, who has been part of the Trek family for over a year.

Madison was inspired to work in hospice after realizing just how much hospice care truly helps patients and families during one of life's most difficult times. Whether she's coordinating care in the office or out in the field providing hands-on support, her passion is making sure every patient receives the compassionate care they deserve.

One thing Madison wishes more people understood is simple but powerful:

"Hospice care doesn't mean giving up."

One of the experiences that has stayed with her the most was being with a patient in their final moments who had no one else by their side. It's moments like those that remind her why this work matters so much.

When asked what she hopes families feel after working with her, Madison said:

"A sense of calmness and relief, knowing they can take a break because their loved one is being cared for."

It's that compassion that defines the care Madison provides every day.

Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending time with her daughter, hanging out with her dog and friends, reading, taking walks, doing crafts, or simply enjoying a well-earned nap. Fun fact—she's been a CNA since she was just 15 years old!

For anyone considering hospice care for a loved one, Madison offers this encouragement:

"I've personally seen families become so much happier and less stressed after starting hospice."

And when asked what being part of Trek means to her, her answer says it all:

"It means the world to me to be doing the work that I do."

Thank you, Madison, for your kindness, compassion, and dedication to our patients and their families. We're grateful to have you on the Trek team!
