It's summer ☀️! Below is the current yoga class schedule, including upcoming dates the studio will be closed. PRIDE month may be over, but here at Sun Salutations Yoga & Wellness Center diversity and inclusion are ALWAYS welcomed and encouraged...as it now says right on the entrance door! Super excited! My hubby and I just put up the new sign I bought on Etsy from MetalMakerShop! I really needed to add my website address, and love that it shows I opened my studio way back in 2006! It also gives a modern look to my old sign. I recently hung the 'EVERYONE is Welcome HERE' flag too, which I'm really proud to promote. As a business, I don't think it's appropriate to declare your politics...however, it IS important to express your inclusiveness, and what kind of mentality you DON'T support. Happy Spring, Yogis and Yoginis 🦋!!! The sun is shining longer, and the flowers are blooming (including here in front of the studio 😉)! It's the perfect time to get moving again and stretch out. Below is the current yoga class schedule, which includes a time change (all classes are both in-person and live via Zoom):

MONDAYS ~ Vinyasa Flow Yoga ~ 10:00am-11:30am

MONDAYS ~ Stretch & De-stress Yoga ~ 6:00pm-7:30PM (New Time!)

WEDNESDAYS ~ Beginner Yoga ~ 9:30am-11:00am

WEDNESDAYS ~ Stretch & De-stress Yoga ~ 6:00pm-7:30pm

THURSDAYS ~ Intermediate Yoga ~ 10:00am-11:30am

Hello, Yogis & Yoginis 👋!!!

I wanted to let you know I've made a couple changes to the Yoga Class Schedule, which you can find below and on the studio website:

*Mondays - Vinyasa Flow, 10am-11:30am
*Mondays - Stretch & De-stress Yoga, 5:30pm-7pm (New Time!)
*Wednesdays - Beginner Yoga, 9:30am-11am
*Wednesdays - Stretch & De-stress Yoga, 6pm-7:30pm
*Thursdays - Intermediate Yoga, 10am-11:30am (New Time!)

I'm also excited about the new Studio Shop located at the end of the lobby! You can now purchase bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, yoga mat bags, handmade lavender eye pillows, and my yoga-themed embroidered shirts! Having props of your own enhances your home practice, and you'll get more benefit from participating in live Zoom classes with me. The shop is open to students while attending scheduled classes/sessions, or by appointment.

Just made my first Maine-grown lavender and organic flaxseed eye pillow to sell in the new little shop in my yoga studio 🛍️! Really pleased with how it came out, and love this folded pocket removable case design for washing (thanks, YouTube 😉). Only using scrap/repurposed fabrics too, for extra sustainability, and all fabric/thread waste is saved to add to future meditation cushions/pillow fillings. The shop also has yoga bolsters, recycled foam/cork blocks, cotton yoga straps, recycled Mexican falsa blankets, and the yoga-themed embroidered shirts I've been making. Really excited to offer ways for my students to enhance their home practice...especially when participating in Zoom classes with me! The shop will be open to attending students during regular scheduled class times, or by appointment with me. Now, off to sew more eye pillows!!! 😁🪡♻️🧵🙏👀😴🧘🏼‍♀️🌎✌️

Just a reminder, the studio will be CLOSED for the holidays from Monday, December 26th through Friday, December 30th. Classes resume the morning of Monday, January 2nd for the 10:00am Vinyasa Flow class, however, there is no 5:00pm Stretch & De-stress Yoga that day. Such a nurturing and informative weekend at the Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Robin Ivy Payton! I'm looking forward to sharing everything I learned with my own students, and earned 20 hours of Yoga Alliance continuing education credits to use toward my recertification too. Very grateful to Robin Ivy Payton for her extensive knowledge, expertise, wisdom, and warm, welcoming spirit! I truly gained A LOT from this workshop, and feel relaxed and refreshed from all the lovely Restorative Yoga postures we got to practice, teach, and enjoy...ahhhhh. 😊🧘🏼‍♀️🕉️✌️☯️🙏
