Carol Lee (Hare) Rosario, 75, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (June 15, 2026) at her home.

She was born September 29, 1950 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Jerry and Loretta Hare. Carol graduated from West Tech High School.

She was a devoted member of Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, and her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She cherished her church family and held them close to her heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Reed.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Ernesto Rosario, whom she married July 31, 1989; two daughters: Dawn Daniel and Jody Woodard both of Quaker City; two brothers: Jerry Hare and Mike Hare; four sisters: Diana Hollis, Terry Mozena, Janet Van Fossen, and Tony Stacho; and seven grandchildren: Christopher Henderson, Brandin Rosario, David Robinson, Anthony Woodard, Aurora Metz, Jaydn Brown, and Briar.

Visitation will be held Friday (June 19, 2026) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.

E. Arlene (Neff) Wilder, 74, of Winnsboro TX and formerly of New Concord, peacefully passed away May 29, 2026 with her husband holding one hand and her son the other.

She was born December 27, 1951 to the late Paul Raymond Neff and Evalyn (Bay) Neff.

Arlene was employed at various locations, most recently serving in the office of Dr. Charles Perry, DPM.

She was a faithful servant of the Lord and had been active for many years with several area churches including Byesville Assembly of God, Friendship Baptist Church, and the Otsego Baptist Church.

Because of her love for family, several years ago Arlene and her husband moved to Texas to be near their son and grandson whom they cherished dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Sophie Wilder; her five brothers: Gary, Daryl, Lloyd, Paul, and Dale Neff; her two sisters, Karen Cowden and infant sister Judy Ellen; her sisters-in-law, Rose and Kim Neff; and her brothers-in-law, Ronald LePage and Robert Cowden.

Arlene leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of fifty-four years, Kelsey Wilder; her son, David Wilder, and grandson, Sterling; her brother-in-law, Jim (Josey) Wilder; her siblings, Elaine LePage and Ken (Mary-Lou) Neff; her sisters-in-law: Florence, Carol, and Cindy; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.

Pursuant to Arlene’s wishes and her love of others, she unselfishly donated her body to science.

Hubert Dale Wisenbarger, 76, of Philo and formerly of Cambridge, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday (June 9, 2026) at OhioHealth Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

He was born November 15, 1949 in Brownsville, son of the late Chester H. Wisenbarger and Eva May (Reiner) Wisenbarger.

Hubert graduated from Cambridge High School in 1967 and attended Muskingum College for one year before dedicating his life to his country.

In 1968, Hubert enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served with the Marines for twenty-four years, earning the rank of 1st Sergeant E-8 during his active duty. He retired from the military in 1991. He lived his life by the credo: “Once a Marine, always a Marine”.

Hubert was actively involved in the Ham radio community, maintaining daily communication with other operators in the area. He greatly enjoyed this hobby and the many connections he made to others throughout the years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Chester H. Wisenbarger, Dorothy, Clarence Edward Wisenbarger, Margaret McAtee, Minnie Gravens, Ruth, and George Wisenbarger.

Hubert is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Ruth (Barr) Wisenbarger, whom he married March 9, 1973; his daughters: Bonnie Sue Bridwell of New Concord and Laura Lea Pride of Philo; his granddaughters, Lauren Michelle Wisenbarger of Columbus, Ellie Steed of Zanesville, Scarlett Jo Bridwell of New Concord, Shelby Lea Graves of Philo, and Saylor Lea Blake of Philo; his grandson, Michael Dale Pride of Philo; his sister, Eva Joann Proudfit of Kimbolton; and his brothers: Donald Lee Wisenbarger of Cheyenne WY and Richard Eugene Wisenbarger of New Concord.

Visitation will be held Monday (June 15, 2026) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Bob Hollins officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville. Full military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Marine Corps in conjunction with the Guernsey County Veterans Council.

Randy W. Bean, 74, of Byesville, passed away Sunday (June 7, 2026) at his home.

He was born February 18, 1952 in Guernsey County, son of the late William Bean and Doris (Weekley) Gibson.

Randy graduated from Meadowbrook High School and earned his Associate’s Degree from Phoenix University. For more than thirty-five years, Randy was a well-known sheet rock (drywall) worker.

Many knew Randy from sitting on his front porch for hours at a time or would see him just riding around in his van because he couldn’t sit still. He never met a stranger and would help anyone who needed it – sometimes even if they didn’t want it. He will be greatly missed and there will be a hole in our hearts.

Randy was faithful to his church and he loved the Lord. Up until the very end, Randy was a feisty man, but was a man of the Lord.

Randy had many friends, acquaintances, and co-workers over the years that were all very important to him. The family is grateful to Randy’s nephew, Gary Hewison Jr. and his wife, along with Dave Cook, for all the help they gave to the family as Randy’s life neared its end.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Allen Sichina, who passed away December 13, 2019; three brothers: Gary Hewison, Roger Bean, and Kenneth Hewison.

Randy is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Barb (Patrick) Bean; his children: Jodi Sichina (& Kenneth) Maupin of Myrtle Beach SC, Jason Andrew Sichina (& Dawn Collins) of Sandusky, and Rochelle Bean of Cambridge; and a daughter-in-law, Tara (Walker) Sichina of Byesville. He was the proud grandfather to seventeen grandchildren and great-grandfather to eleven great-grandchildren.

No calling hours will be observed at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Gregory Vernon Carpenter, 67, of Lore City, passed away Thursday (June 4, 2026) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 28, 1958 in Barnesville, son of the late Vernon Carpenter and Letha (Kahrig) Carpenter Shipe.

A 1977 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Greg continued his education at Zane State, earning a degree in welding. He began his career at LDM, where he dedicated thirty years of service until the company’s closing and then later retired from Champion Spark Plug.

Greg proudly served with the Lore City Volunteer Fire Department. He loved spending time outdoors, especially riding his side by side and his Harley Davidson. Poker Runs were a favorite pastime, and he cherished the hours he spent helping on the Burga family farm. He was also a proud member of the Taylor Motorsports Pulling Team.

A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeyes, Greg enjoyed woodworking and listening to country music in his spare time, especially his favorite group, Alabama.

Above all, Greg’s greatest joy was his family. His love for them—especially his grandchildren—was evident in everything he did. They were his pride and his world.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryker Allen Oliver.

Greg leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Sandra Sherrard; his children: Christina (Eric) VanSickle, Keith (Courtney) Carpenter, and his stepson, Daniel (Kayla) Sherrard; his grandchildren: Ethan Carpenter, Hayden Kahrig, Austin Kahrig, Madison Carpenter, MaKenna Watson, Kyle VanSickle, Layla Sherrard, Collin VanSickle, Karsen Sherrard, and Brooks Carpenter; his great-grandchild, Leo Kahrig; and his cats, whom he adored.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (June 10, 2026) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. The family encourages everyone to wear their Ohio State apparel and bring their side-by-side and/or buggies to Greg’s services.

Randy L. Wright, 72, of Byesville passed away at The Enclave of Cambridge on Thursday (June 4, 2026) surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with metastatic prostate cancer.

Randy was born in Cambridge on July 27, 1953 to Tom and Melba (Carpenter) Wright. He graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1971 and went on to become a highly skilled, self-employed contractor for over forty years prior to his retirement. He had also worked at Meridian Plastics and Carter Lumber for several years.

Randy was a Guernsey County 4-H volunteer for twenty-four years, serving several terms as the vice president of the dairy goat committee. He was also part of the poultry committee and helped with many upgrades to the barns and pens over the years. In 2020, he and Twila were inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame for their dedication to the youth of the community and their continued support of the program. He holds a very special place in everyone's heart and was such a soft soul to get along with; he never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Carol Metheney; and his father-in-law, Jim Hayes.

Randy leaves behind his wife of thirty-eight wonderful years, Twila Wright; his three children: Cody (Emily) Wright of Newark, Kyle Wright of Byesville, and Kayla Wright of Byesville; his sister-in-law, Trina (Bruce) King; his siblings; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dear friends: Tim Mourer, Ed Bay, and Jerry Thompson.

Visitation will be held Monday (June 8, 2026) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Guernsey, the care team at The Enclave, the staff at Medical Associates of Cambridge, and all of his 4-H family and friends for the love and support over the years. All the calls, texts, and visits were much appreciated by both Randy and his family.

Kenneth Lee “Kenny” Farrar, 83, of Senecaville, passed away Sunday (May 31, 2026) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born March 14, 1943 in Canton, son of the late John Willard Farrar and Violet Myrta (Finley) Farrar.

A 1961 graduate of Buffalo High School, Kenny retired from Williams & Company and had also worked for several years at Randall Plastics. More recently, he had retired from Rolling Hills Local School District where he had worked in the maintenance department.

Kenny was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, where had served as a trustee for many years.

He loved vintage and classic cars – he was extremely proud of the classic cars in his own collection. He also enjoyed going to car swap meets, yard sales, and auctions.

Kenny was a US Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Jim; his sisters, Joan Grudier and Janet Murray; and his great-grandson, Cole Thomas Carder.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Dale (Barnett) Farrar, whom he married September 17, 1966; two daughters: Tammy (Scott) Piper of Derwent and Trudy Farrar of Dublin; two brothers: John (Wanda) Farrar of Cambridge and Paul Robert Farrar of New Concord; a sister, Marian (Larry) Gibson of Cambridge; two grandchildren: Olivia Mae Piper and Laurel Alyce Piper (Robert Dell “Tito” Jefferies); and his great-grandchildren: Brea Michelle Carder, Lexi Leanne Carder, Otto Bane Jefferies, and Enzo Fox Jefferies.

Visitation will be held Friday (June 5, 2026) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the Guernsey County Veterans Council.

Martha Ann (Shugert) Shriver, 86, of Pleasant City, passed away Wednesday (May 27, 2026) at OhioHealth Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

She was born November 2, 1939 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Roy Shugert and Wilda (Robinson) Shugert.

Martha graduated from Old Washington High School and continued her studies at Columbus Business College. When asked as a young woman what she hoped to become, she answered with certainty: “a homemaker and a farmer’s wife”. She fulfilled that dream when she married Dean Franklin Shriver, and together they shared sixty-six years of devoted marriage.

Martha delighted in life’s simple pleasures - a warm slice of pizza, a good piece of cake, and an ice-cold Pepsi. She also gave many years of service as a 4-H advisor, guiding and encouraging local youth.

She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Pleasant City, where she also served as a Ladies Aide member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, who passed away January 18, 2026; two brothers, Dean Shugart and Kenneth Roy Shugert; her sister, Marie Hartman; her son-in-law, Jerry Kackley; her great-grandson, Hudson Shriver; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lois (Miley) Shriver and Noah Shriver; and her in-laws: Dale Shriver, Norma Shugart, Dave McVicker, and Robert Hartman.

Martha is survived by her loving children: Katherine (Brian) Johnson, Deborah Kackley (Kevin Murphy), and Wayne (Krista) Shriver; her sister, Elsie McVicker; her grandchildren, Josh (Jenny) Stiers, Suzanne (Chris) Clark, Jessica (Kevin) Rose, Kassandra (Brian) Shafer, Jessica (Taylor) Tom, Ethan (Maria) Shriver, Heath (Taylor) Shriver, and Andrea (John) Kirby; her great-grand-children, Waylon, Wyatt, Jenna, Tyler, Cole, Cody, Ryan, Sara, Harlow, Holland, Hattie, Haidyn, and Noah; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Shriver and Sandra Shugert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private services were held for the family with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Pleasant City. Pastor Karl Runser officiated the services.

Kathy Ramona (Hardy) Ridgley, 72, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (May 19, 2026) at the Morrison House, Zanesville.

She was born February 7, 1954 in Coshocton, daughter of the late Samuel Hardy and Mary (Mercer) Hardy.

A graduate of John Glenn High School, Kathy retired in 2010 from East Muskingum School District after thirty-one years as a bus driver for the district.

Kathy enjoyed sewing, crafting, and quilting. She was a member of several bowling leagues over the years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Hardy; and her sister, Sandra Parker.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Mindy (Sam) Eltringham of Cambridge; her grandson, Cole Eltringham; three brothers: Andy Hardy (Dottie Travis) of Ohio, Jesse Hardy of Columbus, and Sam (Patty) Hardy of Ohio; two sisters, Pat (Ben) Wise of Arizona and Molly Dybiec of Ohio; a sister-in-law, Linda Hardy of Cambridge; several nieces and nephews, including Wendy (Jack) Curtis, Debbie (Dean) Gingerich, and Tara Curtis; and her long-time companion, Dave Bates of Senecaville.
