Today, we celebrated Dietary Aide Willie Milam as she begins a well-deserved retirement after many years of dedicated service at Great Oaks.

Willie’s kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment have touched the lives of countless residents, families, and coworkers. Her caring heart and friendly smile have made a lasting difference, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Mrs. Byrum is working hard toward her walking goals with the help of electrotherapy using the PENS protocol to improve muscle activation and movement patterns. After her therapy session, she doubled her personal best walking distance and celebrated this incredible milestone with her therapist! ✨

🌀💙 Twister with a twist at Great Oaks!

Our residents had a blast putting their own spin on a classic game during a fun-filled round of Twister! With sweet treats placed on each color, every turn brought excitement, laughter, and a chance to win a tasty prize.

Activities like these encourage movement, coordination, decision-making, and social interaction, all while creating smiles and wonderful memories together. It was another great day of fun at Great Oaks! 🍬😊

🫧🚿 Splish, splash… it was time for a Wheelchair Wash & Go at Great Oaks! 🚿🫧

Our residents rolled through a fun-filled “car wash” complete with bubbles, cooling sprays, and plenty of laughter! It was the perfect way to beat the heat while enjoying the sunshine, fresh air, and time together outdoors.

From our bubble tunnel to smiling faces all around, this creative activity had everyone rolling away refreshed and grinning from ear to ear. Thank you to our amazing team for making every stop through the wash an unforgettable experience! 💙

⚠️🦶 Safety can be fun! Residents at Great Oaks are staying active while sharpening the skills that help keep them safe every day. Through engaging activities, they’re working on balance, coordination, reaction time, and awareness, all important parts of preventing falls and maintaining independence. 💪✨

🍩💙 Donuts with Dad at Great Oaks! 💙🍩

We had a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day with our residents and their loved ones during our Donuts with Dad gathering. Families came together to enjoy sweet treats, laughter, and meaningful moments while honoring the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have made such a lasting impact on our lives.
