🎨✨ Art can be a powerful tool on your mental health journey.

Whether it’s painting, drawing, coloring or creating in any form, art gives us a safe way to express feelings that can be hard to put into words. It can help us process emotions, reduce stress and support healing one brushstroke at a time. 💙

At Southridge Behavioral Hospital, we believe in the power of creative expression as one path toward wellness and recovery.

At Southridge, this quote is a powerful reminder that healing and growth often come through difficult change. In mental health treatment, every step forward matters—whether it’s learning new coping skills, building resilience or finding hope during a challenging season.

Just like the butterfly’s transformation, recovery is a journey. It can be hard, but with compassion, support and the right care, adolescents can begin to discover their strength and move toward a brighter future.

Southridge is here to walk alongside young people and their families as they work toward healing and hope.

At Southridge, we believe everyone deserves a place where they feel safe, respected and truly seen. We’re proud to offer an inclusive, affirming environment for the LGBTQ+ community and all individuals seeking support on their recovery journey.

This matters deeply. Recent research shows that LGBTQ+ individuals experience higher rates of substance use compared with heterosexual counterparts, including nearly 50% past-year cannabis use among bisexual individuals versus about 20% among heterosexual individuals, and 13.3% inhalant use among gay men versus 0.7% among heterosexual men. Studies also show that affirming, supportive care can help reduce stigma and improve engagement in treatment.

At Southridge, our team is committed to meeting people with compassion, dignity and understanding — because healing happens best in a space where people feel accepted and supported.

If you or someone you love is looking for help, we’re here for you.
