💙❤️ National Nursing Assistants Week may be coming to a close, but our appreciation for our incredible CNAs, NAs, and CMTs lasts all year long. ❤️💙

This week, we celebrated the dedicated caregivers who provide compassionate care, helping hands, friendly faces, and countless acts of kindness to our residents every day.

While many people see the tasks they perform—helping residents get dressed, assisting with meals, answering call lights—their role goes far beyond daily care.

Because they spend so much one-on-one time with residents, our nursing assistants often develop special bonds that become an important part of daily life in our community. Beyond assisting with daily care, they provide companionship, encouragement, comfort, and kindness that help make KNH feel like home. ❤️

We wrapped up the week with charcuterie treats, recognition from Director of Nursing Kathy Ipock, a few small tokens of appreciation, and a fun 90s Theme Day to close out the celebration. 📼✨

To all of our CNAs, NAs, and CMTs (and Tari Hicks😉): thank you for your heart, compassion, patience, and dedication. The care you provide makes a difference every single day, and we are grateful for all that you do.

🎉 CNA Week 2026 is here! 🎉

This year's theme is: We're Unbelievable!

From helping residents start their day to offering comfort, compassion, and countless acts of kindness, our CNAs make a difference every single day - and are truly unbelievable.

Throughout the week, we'll be celebrating the incredible CNAs who provide outstanding care to our residents and help make our community feel like home.

Thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you more than words can say! 💙

Our Red, White & Bluegrass Celebration was a tremendous success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated 60 Years of Caring. It was a wonderful day filled with great food, music, fellowship, and community spirit.

Congratulations to Linda Allen, winner of the grand prize raffle—a beautiful hand-carved cardinal donated by Clayton Steelman!

Additional raffle winners will be contacted next week.

Thank you again to our residents, families, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and community members who helped make this special day possible. (Stay tuned for more snapshots from the event!)

Before there was a nursing home, there was a vision.

Take a look back at some of the original documents that helped launch what would become KNH, Inc., from the first Board of Directors meeting, the community bond initiative, and the 1966 dedication ceremony.

📸 Then & Now: A Piece of Our History

The first photograph was taken in 1902 and shows the Matherly residence, which once stood on the grounds where KNH, Inc. serves our community today.

More than a century later, the landscape has changed, but the values that make a community strong—home, family, and caring for one another—remain.

This year, KNH, Inc. celebrates 60 Years of Caring. We are honored to continue serving the same community that generations before us called home and to carry that tradition of care into the future.
