Before every drive, take 5 seconds to check these three things. 🚗

✔️ Straps are at the correct shoulder height
✔️ Harness is snug with no excess webbing to pinch
✔️ Chest clip is at armpit level

A few other reminders:
💛 Remove bulky coats or jackets before buckling.
💛 Harness straps should lie flat—not twisted.
💛 Keep your child rear-facing and harnessed until they reach the height or weight limits of their seat.

Car seat transitions can be confusing! 🚗 Contrary to popular belief, the safest time to move to the next stage isn’t based on age alone. Instead, it depends on your child’s height and weight AND the limits of their specific seat.

In general, we want kids to:
🔹 Stay rear-facing as long as possible
🔹 Stay harnessed as long as possible before moving to a booster
🔹 Use a booster until they properly fit in a seat belt alone

DNP Jenny is breaking down each transition in this reel to help clear up some of the most common misconceptions about when it’s actually time to transition 💛

If your toddler’s favorite word is “NO,” you’re definitely not alone. 😅 In this clip, Dr. Stafford and licensed marriage & family therapist Tasha Deming discuss why toddlers say no so often—and how parents can respond in a way that supports both boundaries and connection.

▶️ This is just one small piece of our full conversation on navigating the toddler years with confidence. Watch the full interview now on our YouTube channel at the link in our bio.

Raising resilient kids isn’t about raising “tough” kids – it’s about helping them build the confidence, coping skills, and emotional tools to navigate life’s challenges. 💛

In this Parkway Pointers, Dr. Stafford shares five practical ways parents can help foster resilience in children while still leading with connection and compassion. Resilience isn’t something kids either have or don’t have, it’s something we help to nurture over time. 🌱

Save this for later, share with another parent, and let us know— which tip resonated with you the most?

A couple snapshots from some special community events over the last few weeks ✨

Dr. Stafford was invited to speak to parents on raising resilient children and Dr. Tolcher was invited to join a parent empowerment panel covering topics like sleep, nutrition and technology.

We are so grateful for opportunities to connect with families beyond the office and be a part of conversations that support the overall wellbeing of the kids and families in our community 💙

🚽 Potty Training Tips — Part 2!

One of the biggest reasons I see kids struggle with potty training? Mixed messages and inconsistent routines.

In this reel we’re talking about:
✨ consistency & clear messaging
✨ pull-ups vs. underwear
✨ building potty breaks naturally into the day
✨ why this process is NOT a race

Potty training is a learning process, and every child gets there on their own timeline. 💛

Save this for later and send it to a parent who’s in the thick of potty training right now.
