Patsy Ann Stephens, 89, of Davison, Michigan, formerly of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026. She was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on December 7, 1936, to the late Leslie and Mattie Lou Campbell Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edgar Perry, Willard Perry, and Leslie Perry Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James “J.W.” Stephens; son, Michael (Tammy) Stephens; daughter, Teresa (Richard) Heidenberger; grandchildren, Amie (Nick) Blalock, Chris (Kathy) Stephens, Kennedy Heidenberger; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Blalock, Maddie Blalock, Wyatt Stephens, and Rhett Stephens; many loving family members and friends also survive.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Rev. Michael Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Nick Blalock, Chris Stephens, Juddie Campbell, Matt Brannon, Richard Heidenberger, and Kennedy Heidenberger. Terry Weaver will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.

Max Johns, 84, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. He was born on March 23, 1942, to the late Ralph and Loraine Johns. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Bright; grandchildren, Ben Burns, Cody Johns, and Brandon Johns; and daughter-in-law, Telitha Johns.

Max was employed at Klopman Mills, Fafnir, and the Dixie Group.

Max is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bobbie Johns; children, Mitchell Johns (Dora), Michael Johns, and Michelle Johns Burns; brothers, Randy Johns and Bill Johns; sisters, Linda Holmes and Judy Stewart; grandchildren, Josh Gregory, Caleb Johns, Brooke Holden, Austin Johns, Ella Johns, Logan Johns, Makala Johns, Zane Johns, and Summer Gregory; great-grandchildren, Anslee Holden and Easton Holden; and great-great-grandchild, Willow Johns.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM from Sugar Valley Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Joey Henderson officiating. Pallbearers are Thomas Johns, Lonnie Walker, Mike Holland, Darrell Pasley, Marshall Brown, and Wade Reece. Tom Pickle and Jerry Hall will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jimmie Lou (Baker) Lumpkin, 92, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1933, to the late Herbert Eugene and Alice Estelle Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lehron Lumpkin; brother-in-law, Jim Charles; grandchild, Jessica Lucille Lumpkin; and great-grandchild, Skylar Evans.

Jimmie was a member of Fairview Hall Memorial Baptist Church.

Jimmie is survived by her sons, Donnie Lumpkin (Wanda) and Ricky Lumpkin (Lori); sister, Patricia Charles; grandchildren, Charlie Lumpkin (Amber), Brandy Lumpkin, and Joehannah Lee Lumpkin; great-grandchildren, Oliver Lumpkin and Scott Avery Lumpkin; and nieces, Tiffany Johnston (Brian) and Jennifer Maxwell (Josh).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

David Hugh Holcomb, 69, of Sugar Valley, Georgia passed away while surrounded by his loving family on July 18, 2026.

He was born on December 30, 1956, to Patsy Holcomb and the late Charles Hugh Holcomb. David graduated from Calhoun High School in 1975 and then worked for Fafnir Bearing Company prior to his career with Dalton Utilities, where he retired. David enjoyed going to the lake and making memories spending time with his family.

David was preceded in death by his father, Charles Holcomb; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy Max "Bo" and Carolyn McEntyre; his brother-in-law, Scotty Smith, and sister-in-law Cindy McEntyre Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Nancy McEntyre Holcomb; his mother Patsy Holcomb; his sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew Holcomb (Lindy), and Hugh Holcomb; his sisters and brother-in-law, Diane Wright (Larry), and Mary Ellen Smith; his brother, Alan Holcomb; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Phil McEntyre (Wanda), Laurie Thomas, Debbie Martin, Penny Holcomb, and Mark McEntyre (Keena); grandchildren, Kayla Logan (Dillon), Kelsey Holcomb, Hudson Holcomb, and Landon Holcomb; great-grandchildren Cohen Lee, and Adelyn Logan; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services to honor the life of David Hugh Holcomb will be held Tuesday, July 21st at Trinity Baptist Church, 1170 Rome Road SW, Calhoun, Georgia. Family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Alan Holcomb and Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Tommy Greeson, Steve Thomas, Mark McEntyre, Phil McEntyre, Chad Wright, Rane Martin, and Hudson Holcomb. Landon Holcomb will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

Terry Glenn Harkins Jr., lovingly known as Glenn to his family and friends and affectionately called “Poppy” by his grandchildren, passed away surrounded by the love of those whose lives he touched so deeply.

Born on June 23, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Glenn was the beloved son of Terry Glenn Harkins Sr. and Vicki Lynn Harkins. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, proud grandfather, and loyal friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

On September 24, 2003, Glenn married the love of his life, Margaret Harkins, beginning a marriage built on love, faith, and devotion. Together they created a family that was the center of his world.

Glenn found great joy on his farm in Plainville, Georgia, where he spent countless hours caring for his cattle and enjoying the peaceful country life. Whether working on the farm, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, or spending precious time with his grandchildren, he embraced every moment with a grateful heart. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being “Poppy.” He treasured every minute with his grandchildren: Lawson, Kinley, Bennett, and Katie. They were the light of his life, and he loved them with all his heart.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Harkins; his mother, Vicki Lynn Harkins; his father, Terry Glenn Harkins Sr. Dorothy Harkins; his sister, Tracy Fuller, and her husband, Jason Fuller, along with their children, J.C. Fuller, Zachary Fuller, Nathan Fuller, and Ashlyn Fuller; his brother, Sean Harkins, and his wife, Whitney Harkins, and their son, Hunter Harkins; his brother, Josh Christian, son, Jacob Harkins, son Jason Hibberts ; daughter, Haley Conner, and her husband, Zach Conner, along with their children, Lawson Conner, Kinley Bohannon, Bennett Conner, and Katie Conner; as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Harkins, and Carrie Harkins. Glenn leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, faith, and unwavering dedication to his family. His laughter, generous spirit, and the love he shared with everyone around him will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Haven of Rest Baptist Church, 3819 Rome Rd. SW, Plainville, Georgia 30733.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM from Haven of Rest Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
