90-year-old pirate escapes nursing home for Tybee fest

🏴‍☠️☠️ ARRRRGH! THERE'S BEEN A JAILBREAK AT TYBEE ISLAND PIRATE FEST! 🏴‍☠️🎅❤️

Captain and Lady Kringle had the absolute honor of meeting this beautiful 90-year-old young lady at the Tybee Island Pirate Fest! ❤️

According to her family, they SPRUNG HER FROM THE NURSING HOME so she could come enjoy a little pirate adventure! 🏴‍☠️

Now THAT'S what we call a successful escape from the brig! ☠️

We're not sure if her family posted bail, bribed the guards, or simply told the nursing home she was going out for milk, but one thing is certain…

At 90 years young, this lovely lady is STILL ready for a little mischief on the high seas! ❤️

Captain Kringle considered recruiting her for our pirate crew, but Lady Kringle reminded him that anyone who can pull off a jailbreak at 90 is probably qualified to be the CAPTAIN! 🏴‍☠️

All joking aside, moments like this are what make our adventures so special. ❤️

It was truly an honor to meet her, hold her hand, share some smiles, and be a small part of her special day.

You're never too old to make memories, enjoy an adventure, or unleash your inner pirate!

To her wonderful family, thank you for making sure she didn't miss out on the fun. You're proof that the greatest treasures in life aren't gold or jewels… they're the memories we make with the people we love. ❤️

🎃👻 You know what our community loves? Our Annual Trick-or-Treat Event! 👻🎃

It’s such a fun way to let our patients join in on the Halloween fun and enjoy a little bit of that childhood magic! 🍬🧡 We love seeing the smiles, costumes, laughter, and excitement as everyone comes together to celebrate.

Gordon’s Apple Festival was a huge success ! The patients enjoyed fall flavors and warm Apple favorites. Sydney did a great job coordinating the event. We look forward to more fall fun with the upcoming holidays.

Friday we celebrated our Administrator “Just because” and he had no clue to the surprise.

Fred is truly the kind of boss you’re grateful to have. He shows up every day with a positive attitude, encourages us when we need it most, and somehow keeps us all moving in the right direction—even when navigating a team of mostly women isn’t always the easiest task! 😂

He leads with patience, humor, and purpose, always keeping us in line while making sure we never lose sight of what matters most: our patients. Fred genuinely wants the best for his team and continues to show what great leadership looks like.

Thank you, Fred, for always motivating us to grow, pushing us to be the best versions of ourselves, and reminding us that we’re capable of more than we sometimes realize. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone for Mr. Sullivan. ❤️

When Mr. Sullivan came to our center as a long-term care resident, he faced a journey that wasn’t easy. Through determination, perseverance, and countless hours of hard work, he has achieved something truly inspiring—he’s walking out of our doors and returning home.

A very special thank you goes to his amazing mother, Jackie, whose unwavering love, encouragement, and dedication never wavered. She stood by his side every step of the way and never gave up on him.

To our outstanding therapy team—thank you for challenging, motivating, and believing in Mr. Sullivan every single day. Your commitment helped make this day possible.

And to our incredible nurses and CNAs, thank you for the compassionate care, patience, and support you provided throughout his stay. Your kindness and dedication played a vital role in his success.

Mr. Sullivan, we couldn’t be more proud of you. We wish you nothing but continued strength, health, and happiness as you begin this exciting new chapter at home. Congratulations—you’ve earned every step of this journey! 💙🏡
