Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Chronic shoulder pain doesn’t usually happen overnight—it often develops after months of repetitive stress, compensation, and inefficient movement.

When the shoulder isn’t moving the way it was designed to, other structures begin to take on more work than they should. Over time, muscles become overactive, others become inhibited, joint motion becomes restricted, and everyday activities like reaching overhead, sleeping on your side, lifting weights, or throwing can become uncomfortable.

At Perform Better Chiropractic, we look beyond the painful shoulder. We evaluate how the neck, thoracic spine, shoulder blade, shoulder joint, and surrounding soft tissues work together as one system. Using Active Release Techniques (ART®), chiropractic care, extremity manipulation, and movement-based rehabilitation, we identify restrictions that may be contributing to abnormal movement and unnecessary stress on the shoulder.

Our goal isn’t simply to calm symptoms—it’s to restore healthy mechanics, improve tissue mobility, optimize joint motion, and help your shoulder move more efficiently. When the body moves better, everyday activities, work, and sports often become easier and more comfortable.

If you or someone you know has been living with chronic shoulder pain, don’t ignore it. The longer movement compensations persist, the more difficult they can become to correct. Let us help you get back to doing what you love.

Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Neck pain isn’t always just a joint problem—it often involves irritated muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues that work together to support your head and neck.

Whether your discomfort is caused by poor posture, long hours at a computer, repetitive stress, sports, or an injury, healthy tissue healing and proper movement are essential for recovery.

At Perform Better Chiropractic, we incorporate Class IV Deep Laser Therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for neck pain. Deep laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to deliver energy into the tissues, helping support circulation, promote cellular activity, and reduce inflammation. When combined with Active Release Techniques (ART®), chiropractic care, and rehabilitation, deep laser therapy can help decrease muscle tension, improve mobility, and support the body’s natural healing process.

Our approach doesn’t stop at treating the painful area. We evaluate the entire movement system—including the cervical spine, thoracic spine, shoulders, and surrounding soft tissues—to identify the underlying restrictions that may be contributing to neck pain. By restoring healthy movement and improving tissue function, we help patients move more comfortably and confidently.

Whether you’ve been dealing with neck pain for weeks or you’ve recently experienced an injury, early treatment and restoring proper movement can make a significant difference in your recovery.

Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Recovery doesn’t end when the pain starts to improve—it ends when the knee moves and functions the way it should.

After a knee injury, many people think complete rest is the answer. While there are times when protecting an injury is necessary, safe, guided movement early in the recovery process is often one of the most important steps toward restoring function. Early movement helps maintain joint mobility, improve circulation, reduce stiffness, and promote healthy muscle activation—all of which support the healing process.

True recovery requires restoring proper joint motion, muscle strength, stability, and coordination. Without addressing these components, the knee may continue to compensate, increasing stress on the cartilage, meniscus, ligaments, tendons, and surrounding muscles.

The knee doesn’t work alone. Healthy recovery depends on proper movement of the hip, ankle, and foot, along with strength in the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and calf muscles. These muscles work together to absorb force, stabilize the knee, and create efficient movement during walking, running, squatting, climbing stairs, and sports.

At Perform Better Chiropractic, we combine Active Release Techniques (ART®), chiropractic care, extremity manipulation, and progressive rehabilitation exercises to restore mobility, improve muscle activation, and rebuild strength. Our goal isn’t simply to help your knee feel better—it’s to help it move better, become stronger, and perform the demands you place on it with confidence.

The sooner the body begins moving appropriately, the sooner it can begin learning to move efficiently again. Pain relief is only one milestone. Restoring motion, strength, balance, and proper mechanics is what helps build a resilient knee that’s ready for everyday life, work, and athletics.

Healthy knees don’t just happen—they depend on healthy movement above and below the joint.

Many people think knee pain means something is wrong with the knee itself. While that’s sometimes true, the knee is designed primarily to bend and straighten while relying on the hip, ankle, and foot to provide the mobility and stability needed for efficient movement. When those joints aren’t moving properly, the knee is often forced to compensate, increasing stress on the cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and surrounding muscles.

At Perform Better Chiropractic, we don’t just focus on where the pain is—we evaluate the entire kinetic chain. Using Active Release Techniques (ART®), chiropractic care, extremity manipulation, and movement assessments, we identify restrictions that may be affecting knee mechanics. Improving hip rotation, restoring ankle mobility, optimizing foot function, and improving soft tissue mobility can help the knee articulate more efficiently, distribute forces more evenly, and move the way it was designed to.

Healthy knee motion isn’t just about reducing pain—it’s about improving performance. Whether you’re running, squatting, hiking, golfing, or simply walking with your family, proper joint motion allows your muscles to generate force more efficiently while reducing unnecessary stress on the knee. Better mechanics today can help support healthier movement for years to come.

Don’t wait until knee pain limits the activities you love. Keeping the joints above and below the knee moving well is one of the best ways to support long-term knee health and peak performance.

Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Your body changes throughout life—your care should too.

A young athlete is trying to improve performance. A parent is carrying children and working long days. A construction worker places repetitive stress on their body. An office worker spends hours sitting at a desk. An older adult wants to stay independent and continue enjoying life.

Different lifestyles. Different goals. One thing in common—they all rely on healthy movement.

At Perform Better Chiropractic, we don’t believe chiropractic care is reserved for one type of person or one specific condition. Every patient receives an individualized evaluation to understand how they move, identify restrictions, and determine what may be limiting their function.

By combining chiropractic care, Active Release Techniques (ART®), extremity manipulation, rehabilitation, and other evidence-based therapies, we create treatment plans designed around each person’s goals—whether that’s competing at a higher level, returning to work comfortably, playing with grandchildren, or simply moving through everyday life with less limitation.

Because better movement isn’t just about sports—it’s about living the life you want without unnecessary physical restrictions.

No matter your age, occupation, or activity level, your body deserves to move at its best. We’d love the opportunity to help you reach your goals.

Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Spinal decompression isn’t just for chronic back pain—it’s also a tool to help keep your spine moving at its best.

Whether you’re an athlete, spend long hours sitting at a desk, or have a physically demanding job, your spine is exposed to repetitive compression every day. Over time, this can contribute to stiffness, reduced mobility, increased pressure on the discs and joints, and changes in the way you move.

At Perform Better Chiropractic, we use spinal decompression (traction) as part of a comprehensive treatment plan—not as a stand-alone therapy. Gentle, controlled traction helps create space within the spine, reduces compressive forces, and supports healthy movement of the discs, joints, and surrounding tissues. When combined with chiropractic adjustments, Active Release Techniques (ART®), and corrective exercise, decompression can help improve mobility, support recovery, and optimize how your body moves.

Decompression isn’t reserved for people with chronic pain. It can also benefit individuals experiencing early stiffness, recovering from repetitive stress, or looking to maintain a healthy, resilient spine before small problems become bigger ones. Just like strength training and mobility work help prevent injuries, taking care of your spine is an investment in your long-term movement and performance.

If you’re dealing with back pain, neck pain, disc-related symptoms, or simply want to keep your spine functioning at its best, we’d love to help determine if spinal decompression is right for you.

Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Shoulder impingement isn't always caused by the shoulder itself. Limited mobility in the thoracic spine, neck, shoulder blade, or surrounding soft tissues can change the way the shoulder moves, increasing stress on the rotator cuff and other structures during overhead activity. Over time, this may lead to pain, pinching, weakness, and reduced range of motion.

In our office, we utilize Active Release Techniques (ART®), chiropractic care, and extremity manipulation to address both the soft-tissue and joint restrictions contributing to shoulder impingement. By improving mobility in the rotator cuff, pectorals, lats, upper trapezius, levator scapulae, and surrounding musculature, while restoring motion throughout the cervical spine, thoracic spine, shoulder, and shoulder blade, we help support healthier movement patterns and more efficient shoulder mechanics.

Our goal isn't just to reduce shoulder pain—it's to restore movement throughout the entire kinetic chain so you can return to work, training, and everyday activities with greater confidence and efficiency.

If you or someone you know is experiencing shoulder pain, pinching, or discomfort with overhead movement, give us a call to see if this approach may be appropriate for you.

Move Better | Feel Better | Perform Better

Headaches aren't always just a head problem. Tight muscles, restricted joint motion, poor posture, and limited movement in the neck and upper back can all contribute to tension and discomfort. When the muscles and joints of the cervical spine aren't functioning efficiently, the body may compensate, placing additional stress on surrounding tissues.

Through a combination of Active Release Techniques (ART®) and chiropractic care, we address both the soft-tissue and joint components that may contribute to headaches. ART® helps improve mobility in muscles such as the suboccipitals, upper trapezius, levator scapulae, scalenes, sternocleidomastoid (SCM), and cervical paraspinals, while chiropractic adjustments help restore healthy motion to the cervical and thoracic spine. Together, these treatments help improve movement, reduce muscular tension, and support healthier function throughout the neck and upper back.

By treating the body as a connected system—not just where the symptoms are felt—we help patients move more comfortably and support long-term movement health.

If you or someone you know experiences recurring headaches, neck stiffness, or upper back tension, give us a call to see if this approach may be appropriate for you.
