This summer, high school students from across Greater Boston joined ADA Forsyth’s world-renowned research community as Forsyth Student Scholars, taking part in a longstanding Institute tradition that gives promising young people a rare opportunity to experience cutting-edge science firsthand and explore the possibilities of a future in STEM.
Under the mentorship of ADA Forsyth’s world-class scientists, Forsyth Student Scholars gain hands-on laboratory experience conducting real-world research, learn about diverse career pathways in STEM, and pursue an individualized research project culminating in a final presentation at the end of the eight-week program. They even learn about some of the amazing projects that previous Forsyth Student Scholars are tackling.
The brief exposure to the world's top oral health research environment provides an invaluable foundation as these students enter their final years of high school and take their next steps toward higher education and future careers in science, technology, engineering, and medicine.
