Some nervous systems learned that connection was unpredictable.

That closeness could suddenly disappear.
That emotions could shift quickly.
That safety was inconsistent.

So trust may not feel natural or easy now, even when someone is kind, stable, or safe.

Sometimes healing is not about “trusting faster.”

Sometimes it’s slowly teaching your nervous system that consistency can exist without constantly preparing for chaos.

Some people became experts at reading rooms before they ever learned how to feel comfortable being themselves.

Masking can look like:

constantly self-monitoring
changing yourself depending on who you’re around
suppressing needs or emotions
appearing “fine” while internally overwhelmed

Eventually, surviving socially can become exhausting.

You deserve spaces where authenticity feels safer than performance.

Beginning June 17th, I’ll officially be accepting in-person clients at Post Storm Therapy in Cambridge, Ohio.

This space was created for adults carrying the weight of:
• trauma
• chronic stress
• survival mode
• burnout
• emotional exhaustion

I wanted it to feel calm, grounding, cozy, and safe especially for the people who are used to holding everything together for everyone else.

In the meantime, follow along as the office slowly comes together.

Currently self-pay/private pay, while actively working toward accepting two insurance plans in the future.

Virtual therapy across Ohio and Minnesota will continue to remain available as well.

Currently accepting adult clients for:
• Trauma Therapy
• EMDR
• Brainspotting
• Nervous System-Focused Therapy
• Trauma Intensives

First Responders' Bridge is now registering for our 24th confidential, expense free retreat for active and retired first responders. This retreat will be for Leadership..... anyone OVER the rank of Officer, Firefighter/EMS, Corrections Officer or Dispatcher.
**Rank specific programming will be provided. Example, Chiefs and equivalent will be in their own discussion groups and table top discussions. Significant others are encouraged to attend.
