In Loving Memory
Howard F. Huntley
January 17, 1971 – May 31, 2026

WILLIAMSTOWN, NY - Howard F. Huntley (How hard), 55, of Williamstown, NY; passed away, far too soon, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Crouse Hospital. He was born on January 17, 1971, to the late Leslie and Yvonne Huntley.

Howard was known by all to be a hardworking man. A 1990 graduate from APW High School, he worked various jobs starting at a young age. From hitting the road with Bob Wheeler and the band on a life changing trip to Texas, lived and worked with friends like brothers in Lake Placid for many years, 10+ years as a carpenter, Banach Services, Metro Fence, Murphy installations, On the Line Construction, and most recently Oswego County Highway Department.

Howard was an avid hunter and lover of sports, the NY giants, NASCAR, beer league softball, basketball, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Howard’s greatest love and accomplishments were his family and friends that became family. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Leslie and Yvonne Huntley, brother Brian Huntley, brother Carl Huntley, sister-in-law Kim Huntley, father-in-law Jim Gorman, and brother-in-law Mike Bartlett. Surviving Howard is his wife of 28 years, the love of his life, his “honey bear”, JoAnn Huntley, his son Jeremy Walker, daughter Tricia Walker and Nick Fusillo, the lights of his life, his grandsons Ayden and Nathan, sister Brenda Williams and Mike Melideo, sister Darlene and Charlie Bruce, brother Leslie and Lorie Huntley Jr., sister Kathy Huntley and Kris Hastings, uncle Douglas Kaine, aunt Dixie and Skip Webb, mother in law Darlene Gorman, brother in law Francis and Andrea Bartlett, sister in law Tammy and Bill Brosnan, sister in law Donna and Chuck Teller, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and second children that he loved like his own Derek Wood, Lyndsea Hart and Jessica Phoenix.

Howard loved hard, with his entire heart and could light up the room with his laugh. Blood certainly didn’t define family for him. He is also survived by his chosen brothers Edziu, Tyler, Rod, Lenny, Matt, Phil, CJ, Mike P., and many more. He was pre-deceased by chosen family Rex, Mama Kek, Brenda and Rod.

Funeral service information will be as follows:

Graveside Services will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, NY. A Celebration of Life will follow at Buck’s Family Restaurant in Williamstown, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that any contributions in Howard’s memory be used for a college for his grandsons and can be sent to JoAnn at 381 State Route 13, Williamstown NY 13493.

In Loving Memory
Thomas J. Fox
September 17, 1957 - April 29, 2026
68 Years

CAMDEN, NY - With profound sadness, we share the passing of our beloved brother Thomas J. Fox on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Born on September 17, 1957, Tommy was the third of six children born to the late Edward R. and Albina Smolenski Fox of Camden, New York.

A lifelong resident of the Village of Camden, Tom attended Camden Central Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1975. The prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York was his choice in fulfilling his dream of becoming a master chef. Tom subsequently graduated from The Culinary in 1977 and landed his first professional role as chef on a ship en route to Spain in the Mediterranean. From there he worked for the Adirondack Railway, Thendara Station in Old Forge, New York. During this period, Tom was the executive chef aboard the passenger train service operated by the Adirondack Railway Corporation for transporting spectators to and from the 1980 Winter Olympics, held in Lake Placid New York. Prior to Tom’s ultimate retirement in 2014 due to disability, he worked for International Wire Company in Camden.

Tom had a remarkable gift for seeing beauty in the past. His passion for antique collecting was more than a hobby, it was an art form, one that was first inspired by the influence of his paternal grandmother Ethel M. Fox. With a keen and discerning eye, he could recognize the history and craftsmanship in pieces that others might overlook, building a collection that was truly a reflection of his soul. He had an extra ordinary ability to bring those treasures to life throughout his home, creating a space so beautifully curated, inside and out, that it drew admirers from near and far. To visit his home was to step into another time where every piece had a story and he always knew how to tell it.

Beyond his love of antiques, Tom possessed an unmatched talent for decorating that was truly in a class of its own. With every turn of the season, from the warmth of fall to the wonder and sparkle of winter, to the bright beauty of summer, he had a magical ability to transform his home into something special. His seasonal displays were something people genuinely looked forward to, a beloved tradition that brought joy and wonder to all who visited. He had a rare gift for making every detail feel intentional and every season feel like something worth celebrating.

Few things brought Tom more joy than cooking for the people he cared about. This passion ultimately led him and his dear late friend Luke Haley, to run a catering service together, a true labor of love and friendship they so proudly shared. From Tom’s creative hors d’oeuvres to his extraordinary feasts, no one walked away disappointed or hungry. From family gatherings to friend-filled parties, and the beloved parades on Main Street, Tom loved his community deeply and his front porch and yard, packed with people, reflected this always.

A life rooted in faith and service, he was a deeply faithful Catholic and devoted member of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Camden. He was someone who would step forward within the parish without hesitation whenever help was needed, from selling tickets at parish events to decorating for holidays and special occasions, and a serving member of the parish bereavement committee. He gave his time generously and quietly, motivated not by recognition but by a genuine desire to serve.

Deeply devoted to the family homestead, he found his greatest sense of peace and belonging within its walls. It was more than a place to live, it was where he felt most himself. His wish to remain at home in his final months was a reflection of that deep connection, and his family honored it with love and compassion.

Tom is survived by his two sisters: Nancy (Stephen) Prusack of Camden, Susan (James) Szczerba of Oneida; three brothers John (Tina) Fox of Camden, Paul (Dawn) Fox of Camden, and Mark (Susan) Fox of Canastota. He is also survived by a nephew, several nieces, and countless friends.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to all who visited, offered support, brought food, sent flowers and called Tom routinely. Your presence, kindness and care meant more than words can express and brought him comfort and strength. Additionally, a very special thanks to Dr. Matthew Siegenthaler for his care and compassion shown to Tom throughout his illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from Saint John’s the Evangelist Church, Camden New York. Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Camden Ambulance and/or Camden Volunteer Fire Dept.

In Loving Memory
John Michaelson Evans, Jr.
April 13, 1949 – April 18, 2026

BLOSSVALE, NY - John Michaelson Evans, Jr., passed away suddenly while working on his property on April 18, 2026.

John was born in Rome, NY on April 13, 1949, the son of John M. Evans and Cecilia Rose Morse Evans. He will be remembered as a good son to his parents, a protective and loving brother to his five sisters Midge, Linda, Mary, Sally and Susie, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and a caring and thoughtful friend and neighbor.

John grew up in Rome. As a boy, he once went hand-over-hand under the old barge canal bridge. When his mother found out, she spanked him so hard that she had to wear an ace bandage on her wrist for several weeks! He was proud to have played football and wrestled for RFA, where he was voted co-captain of the wrestling team in his Senior year.

Because of a strong love for his country, John joined the Army in 1969 when he was 20. He became a paratrooper; a member of the 82nd Airborne, the 173rd Airborne, and the 101st Airborne. John spent a year in Vietnam from August 1970 to August 1971 as an armored reconnaissance specialist. He received an honorable discharge in 1974 at the rank of Sargent.

While serving as a recruiter for the 101st Airborne in Nashville, Tennessee, he met a girl working at the YMCA and said to a friend, “I’d like to marry her!” And that he did-John and Patricia Emma Gutherz Estrella were married on March 1, 1974. Patricia had four children from a previous marriage, Mike, Matt, Charlie and Darcy. John would often remind his family that “I didn’t marry your mother; I married all of you!”

A car salesman for 10 years at Sid Stockholm Ford, John was salesman of the year for 6 of those years. One year he was a Master Sales Counselor. In 1984 he joined the N.Y. State Department of Corrections, where he worked at Oneida Correction Facility in charge of the Special Housing Unit. He was also a member of the Correctional Emergency Response Team. Most of his inmates would say they appreciated his “firm, fair, and consistent” treatment.

John enjoyed caring for his home and took pride in keeping his lawn and cars in near perfect condition. We all got so tired of hearing “Good, better, best, never let it rest, ‘til the good get better and the better get best!” but it was truly something he lived by and came to be appreciated.

A very friendly man, John liked people and never met a stranger. He loved a lively game of pitch and was well known to bid four without the jack! Spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy. John was a firm believer in his Roman Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia and his four children: Michael Estrella, Matthew (Amie) Estrella, Charles (Diane) Estrella and Darcy (Michael) Maciolek; ten grandchildren: Iris, Samatha, and Noah Estrella; Ariel (Coy) Zbytovsky, Natalie and Jack Estrella; Madeline and Donato Estrella, and Annabel and Michael Maciolek; two great-grandchildren: Robert and Laura Gill, with one more due in May. John also leaves behind four sisters and his beloved nieces and nephews: Linda Anair and her children Richard (Suzanne) and Shannon Anair; Mary McNeil and her children Kelly (Dan) Hildenbrandt, Larry, and John McNeil; Sara (Richard) Arthur and her children Conse, Joseph (Susie), and Sara Vecchio, Kristy Keesler, Terry Arthur, Suzanne Gralke, Michael Arthur, and Sharyl (Darren) Vukovic; Susan (Douglas) Johnson and her children Douglas, Job (Emily), and Rachael Johnson; and nieces Melony (Reno) Correia Longhitano and Michelle Correia. He was pre-deceased by his parents: John and Cecilia Evans, sisters Margaret “Midge” Norman and Sharon Evans, and brothers Eugene and Timothy Evans. He was also pre-deceased by his great niece Mila Rose Vukovic, great niece Mary McNeil, and his nephew Michael Correia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9168 Main Street Taberg, NY. Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours from 3 – 6 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
