Izzabella Pogreba, PA-C 💞
Carney's Family Clinic is proud to welcome Izzabella Pogreba, PA-C, to our healthcare team. Izzabella is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered primary care and enjoys building lasting relationships with individuals and families while helping them achieve their healthiest lives.
Proud to call Tennessee home, Izzabella earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Health Science concentration from Tennessee Technological University, where she also graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Through extensive clinical training in family medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, women's health, behavioral medicine, and general surgery, Izzabella has developed experience caring for patients of all ages. She provides preventive care, annual wellness visits, physical exams, treatment of acute illnesses, and long-term management of chronic medical conditions.
In addition to comprehensive primary care, Izzabella is skilled in a variety of in-office procedures, including laceration repair with sutures and staples, incision and drainage of abscesses, wound evaluation and care, joint aspiration and joint injections, punch biopsies, epidermal inclusion cyst removal, and other minor dermatologic procedures. She also provides women's preventive healthcare, including gynecologic examinations, cervical cancer screening with Pap smears, STI screening, contraceptive counseling, and routine women's wellness visits.
Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Izzabella worked as a medical assistant, private duty caregiver, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) technician. These experiences strengthened her commitment to delivering compassionate, personalized care and reinforced the importance of treating every patient with respect, empathy, and kindness.
Izzabella is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), licensed by the Tennessee Board of Physician Assistants, and maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
