Are we looking at the next generation of South Jersey doctors?
This summer, we piloted a new Mini Med School, giving high school students ages 16+ and college students the opportunity to spend two weeks shadowing physicians, learning about different areas of medicine, and exploring what it takes to build a career in health care.
The experience wrapped up with a hands-on skills station and the chance to connect with current medical students and residents—empowering participants to ask questions, hear about their journeys, and learn from those just a few steps ahead of them.
Programs like this are about more than introducing students to medicine. They’re about creating opportunities to explore, learn, build confidence, and imagine what their own future in health care could look like.
