Join us for our Annual Pencil Project, where eligible consumers can receive school supplies while supplies last.

CCSD IS READY!

While our students have been enjoying summer break, Superintendent Alfonso Q. Llano Jr., our new leadership team, school leaders and staff have been working with purpose to prepare for a strong 2026–2027 school year.

From strengthening classroom instruction and reviewing academic programs to aligning student support, enrollment, attendance and operations, the Camden Education Framework is moving from planning to action.

The energy is real. The direction is clear. When our doors open on Thursday, September 3, we are not simply returning—we are moving CCSD forward!

Meet Toxoplasma gondii — a sneaky little parasite that lives in cat litter and causes toxoplasmosis infection.
For most people it's a non-event, but during pregnancy? It can seriously harm the fetus.

Simple fix: Wash your hands after every litter box change. If you are pregnant, do not eat undercooked meat.

Get to know these pathogens, but don't catch 'em at all.

NJBPU the pre-qualification window for Tranche 2 of Phase 1 of the Garden State Energy Storage Program (GSESP) is open.

Energy storage projects are essential for enhancing grid reliability, improving efficiency, shifting energy use away from high-cost peak hours, and promoting a more affordable energy future for New Jersey residents and businesses. This program also supports [Governor Sherrill’s] affordability agenda through Executive Order No. 1 and addresses New Jersey’s utility cost-related energy emergency as outlined in Executive Order No. 2 by expanding flexible power resources across the state.

Key deadlines for the program include:
- Pre-qualification window opened: May 20, 2026
- Final bid submission deadline: August 7, 2026
- Board decision on bids: October 28, 2026
