Oneida County is giving away FREE CAR SEATS at the Deerfield Fire Station on the following dates:

July 13 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
August 18 from 9 a.m until 1 p.m.
September 1 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
September 21 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

To be sure your child is riding safely, the Oneida County Health Department has partnered with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office to provide you with a free car seat, and the training to install the car seat independently.

• Must meet income eligibility • Must have child present or be expecting to deliver within 3 months • Must bring vehicle for car seat installation.

June 25th-26th 2022 is one of New York State's Free Fishing Weekends! During Free Fishing Days/Weekends, anyone can fish the fresh waters of New York State and no fishing license is required!

To fully take advantage of this free fishing opportunity, stop by the library before 5:30pm on Friday June 24th and borrow some of our fishing poles and an Empire Pass. Empire passes provide unlimited day-use vehicle entry to most facilities operated by New York State Parks and the State Dept. of Environmental Conservation including forests, beaches, trails and more. This includes Lake Delta and other popular local fishing spots.
