NIAM is an annual observance that highlights the importance of protecting people of all ages against vaccine-preventable diseases through on-time vaccination. CDC encourages partners to work with healthcare providers to make sure patients of all ages are up to date with their recommended vaccines. West Tennessee Healthcare Camden Hospital recently participated in the Benton County Community Cares Day. A total of 16 vendors were present and 200 students and families attended the event. WTH-Camden Hospital gave out 113 gift bags filled with school supplies. Working the event for the hospital were Kimberly Kamholz, Glenna Scott and Jennifer Massie. Park rangers from Nathan Bedford Forrest Park were on hand and Kimberly got up close and person with a friendly snake named Leo. Jennifer and Glenna took a safer route and bonded with a box turtle named Ren. WTH-Camden Hospital wishes all the children in the community a safe and productive school year. We are always here to offer you A+ healthcare.

Today is World Drowning Prevention Day. Drowning is preventable, and simple safety measures can save lives. Always supervise children around water, wear a properly fitted life jacket, and learn basic water safety and swimming skills.
