Sarah F. Spiegelhoff, PhD, LMHC-D, LPC, NCC
Dr. Spiegelhoff believes that in order to improve mental health and wellness, her work is to create a patient-centered partnership with clients, to offer support, insight, and empowerment in making informed choices. She recognizes that mental health is as important as physical health, and that the two cannot be separated. Through an integrative and psychodynamic approach, she will support clients in identifying unresolved conflicts, uncomfortable or repressed emotions, and relational patterns that keep resurfacing in new situations. This therapeutic process uncovers the why behind the issues, transforming barriers into meaningful progress.
She provides individual, couplesโ, and family counseling to adolescents and adults. Her specialties include integrative mental health, young adult mental health, co-parenting therapy, and reunification therapy. She has provided counseling to patients struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, personality disorders, narcissistic relationships, sexuality, and identity development.
Dr. Spiegelhoff is licensed in NY and PA. She earned a PhD from Syracuse University and completed a fellowship with the American Psychoanalytic Association. She is a professor in the graduate clinical mental health counseling program at SUNY Oswego, and is a Past President of the American Counseling Association of New York.
