I used to think losing Dad meant losing the parts of him I could remember most clearly.
His voice. His advice. His presence beside me. The little things that made me feel like I was never facing the world completely alone.
But I've come to understand that love doesn't disappear just because someone is no longer here.
I carry pieces of Dad in the way I make decisions, the way I care for people, and the strength I find when life becomes difficult.
His voice may have grown quiet, but what he gave me did not. Some kinds of love become part of you so deeply that they continue speaking through the person you become.
