Thirteen brave Americans paid the ultimate price for our country.

U.S. Navy Sailors with Bravo Company, 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, conduct simulated surgical cases, triage and treatment of trauma patients during Certification Exercise 26.3. Our Sailors ability to set up Role 2 field hospitals in diverse operational environments can provide surgical care and shock trauma interventions close to the front lines. CERTEX serves as the primary readiness evaluation for surgical platoons within 2nd Medical Battalion, testing their ability to triage, treat, evacuate, and track patients while also assessing communications, logistics, and responses to simulated threats.

And a special huge shout out to our Motor-T and Utilities Marines whose tireless hard work and ingenuity in extreme temperatures made this exercise possible. Semper Fidelis. ❤️ 💪

Iron Sharpens Iron

Medical personnel from 2d Medical Battalion conduct Valkyrie autologous blood transfusions and run trauma lanes during Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) tier 4 last week at our Battalion's Tactical Medical Training Center.

TCCC tier 4 is the most advanced level of TCCC, designed for Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, and Independent Duty Corpsmen. It transitions providers out of controlled clinical settings and teaches invasive procedures, prolonged field care, and damage control resuscitation for austere environments.

Our Tactical Medical Training Center continues to pump out highly-trained and capable Corpsmen, Nurses and Providers ready for the fight.

Recognizing Our Hardchargers.

We'd like to shine a spotlight on some of the recent accomplishments made by our hard working Marines and Sailors. We recently witnessed the promotion ceremony of Gunnery Sergeant Michael Vorpahl to Master Sergeant. We wish him and his family fair winds and following seas as they head out the door to their next duty assignment. LCpl Baraby and LCpl PeraltaMosquea were promoted to the rank of Corporal at a promotion ceremony on Onslow Beach. Our Staff NCOs engaged in a motivational 3 mile run building camaraderie and Esprit De Corps. Last but not least our H&S Company Commander Captain Bogard turned over the reigns of the Company to Captain Thomasgard. We wish Captain Bogard the best and thank her for her incredible, transformational leadership these past two years.
