Healing Boo Boo’s Addiction Services was founded in loving memory of Richard “Boo Boo” Rayford Weaver, the beloved older brother of founder Latisha Weaver.
Richard, a resident of Campbell, Ohio, was reported missing after being dropped off by his mother at a residence on Blossom Avenue on Friday, July 18, 2025. According to his mother, that was the last time she saw or heard from her son.
After more than 24 hours passed without any contact, Richard’s mother became increasingly concerned. She returned to the residence where she had personally watched Richard walk inside only days earlier. However, the resident told her that he had not seen Richard in over a week—a statement that deeply troubled her because she knew firsthand that Richard had recently been there.
A missing person report was filed on Monday, July 21, 2025. Following the report, the Campbell Police Department visited the residence on Blossom Avenue. Richard’s mother was informed that the resident stated he had dropped Richard off at another location in Campbell on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
Seven days later, a body was discovered in a vacant lot in Youngstown, Ohio. An autopsy was conducted, and Richard’s family believes that he tragically lost his life as a result of the addiction he had been battling.
Richard’s death left a permanent void in the hearts of those who loved him. His family believes that his story serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for support, compassion, accountability, and resources for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
It is through this pain, loss, and determination to make a difference that Healing Boo Boo’s Addiction Services was born.
Our mission is to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals battling addiction can connect with others who understand their struggles, learn practical tools for recovery, strengthen their faith in God, and become positively involved in their communities. We are committed to helping people find hope, healing, purpose, and a path forward.
Through education, mentorship, advocacy, recovery support, and community engagement, we strive to save lives, provide guidance, and connect individuals with valuable resources. Most importantly, we seek to help those struggling with addiction discover peace, restoration, and hope for the future.
Richard was intelligent, kind-hearted, and full of life. He loved deeply and was deeply loved. His memory lives on through his children, parents, siblings, cousins, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his presence.
