✨ Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with many women who have expressed an interest in joining Salt Health & Fitness.

☕ The conversations often begin the same way. We talk about goals, fitness history, and programming. But before long, we find ourselves talking about something deeper—the why beneath it all.

🧵 There seems to be a common thread woven through so many of these conversations.

Life has been hard. There have been seasons of loss, disappointment, exhaustion, and uncertainty. Seasons that have left marks. Seasons that have tested their courage. And yet, in the midst of it all, these women recognize something stirring within them. A desire to feel strong again. To challenge themselves. To build muscle. To care for their health. To become the woman they know they are capable of being.

💛 As I listen, I notice something remarkable.

These women are not defeated.

They may be tired. They may be discouraged. They may have spent years putting everyone else first. But somewhere beneath the weight of life's demands, they can still see it—a strength not yet fully expressed, a resilience not yet exhausted, a potential waiting to be awakened.

🌱 They can see a version of themselves they may not be fully experiencing right now, but they know she is there.

Stronger.

Healthier.

More confident.

Not because life suddenly became easy, but because they chose to rise in the midst of it.

🔥 One of the greatest joys what I do is watching women uncover the strength, resilience, and potential that have been there all along. To realize that she is not defined by what has happened to her, but by what remains within her. To recognize that the same fire that carried her through difficult seasons can also carry her forward into something new.

🤍 It is not lost on me what a privilege it is to walk alongside women on that journey.

Helping women build muscle is one thing.

Helping them uncover the strength, courage, and potential that has been there all along is something else entirely.

✨ That is the very reason I do what I do.

☀️There is something beautifully human about new beginnings.

🌥️And oddly divine at the same time.

The chance to start over.
To rebuild.
To learn from what came before and create a clearer path forward.

👷‍♀️As I’ve been knocking down walls, painting, planning, and rebuilding Salt, I’ve found myself thinking about how similar this is to so many of our health journeys.

🚪When you walk through these doors in a few weeks, you’ll be entering a place that knows what it means to start again. A place that understands recommitment. A place that understands that growth rarely happens without courage.

This space has a past, but it also has a future.

And maybe that’s true of us too.

There is always risk in beginning again. There is uncertainty. There are no guarantees.

But there is hope too.

In fact, I don’t think hope exists without risk. Hope requires us to believe that something good can still be built, even when we can’t fully see it yet.

The same is true for our health. 💜

Day one.

My blank space. My opportunity to bring to life a place that truly reflects the heart behind Salt.
A place where you can breathe, grow, soften and land. A place where strength is built from support, not pressure.

I cannot wait to update you with progress photos as this space slowly transforms into a place where training supports not just the body, but the mind as well 🤍

Stay tuned.

✨ POSSIBLE NEW CLASS TIME ✨

I’m exploring the possibility of adding a limited number of early morning Salt Power sessions to the schedule 👀

Salt Power would be a 45-minute strength-focused class designed to help you feel strong, grounded, and connected to your body before the day begins 🤍

Think:
• supportive strength training
• intentional movement
• nervous-system-friendly coaching
• power without chaos
• a calm but strong start to your morning

Potential time: 6:00 AM

Before I finalize anything, I’d love to hear from you:

Would a 6 AM Salt Power class interest you? ☀️

One little thing I often get asked about for strength training is shoes ☺️

While you absolutely do not need fancy gear to start at Salt, having a stable shoe can make a big difference for balance, comfort, and feeling more grounded during strength training.

One beginner-friendly option I often recommend is the Reebok Nano series because they tend to feel more stable and supportive for lifting, carries, sled work, and general strength training compared to heavily cushioned running shoes.

A lot of women are surprised to learn that traditional running shoes can actually make strength training feel less stable because of the thicker soft sole.

Again — no pressure to rush out and buy anything ☺️ But if you’re preparing to start strength training this summer, it’s something worth thinking about!

Running, weight training, fitness classes: these women's Reebok training shoes can handle it all. They have the look and feel of a running shoe but are built with the DNA of a training shoe to give you the flexibility to work out how you want to, whether you prefer the treadmill and weight machines....

One of the biggest things I’ve reflected on while rebuilding Salt is how many women quietly stopped feeling at home in traditional fitness spaces.

Not because they don’t care about their health — but because life, stress, hormones, injuries, and seasons of life change us.

The heart behind Salt is to create something different.

A place where women can build real strength in a supportive, encouraging, low-intimidation environment.

A place where listening to your body is encouraged.
Where modifications are normal.
Where women don’t feel like they have to “keep up” to belong.

Yes, we’ll get stronger. But we’ll do it in a way that feels sustainable, supportive, and grounded in real life ☺️

Salt Sunday Walk ☀️

We’ll be meeting at 8:15 AM Sunday morning at Sycamore Creek Park for another relaxed community walk.

Nothing fancy — just movement, fresh air and conversation ☺️

All are welcome. Hope to see you there:-)

Salt is growing ☺️

As we prepare to reopen this summer in Canal Wi******er, I’m beginning to look for a certified personal trainer to join the Salt team part-time.

I’m specifically looking for someone who aligns with the heart behind Salt:
• supportive coaching
• relationship-centered fitness
• small-group strength training
• encouraging, low-intimidation environments
• helping women build strength and confidence in sustainable ways

This role will initially involve leading a few small-group sessions each week, with a particular need for Friday availability and potential room for growth as Salt expands.

A current personal training certification is required. Experience working with women, beginners, older adults, or nervous-system-friendly approaches to training is a huge plus.

This is less about finding the loudest fitness personality and more about finding someone who genuinely knows how to help people feel safe, supported, encouraged, and empowered while getting stronger.

If this sounds like you (or someone you know), please send me a message with a little about yourself and your experience ☺️
