This is my chart, with the current placement of the planets (t) for transiting.

There is a gathering of planets in Capricorn right now- Mars is there too and is exalted- strong and high energy. As a Scorpio rising with a strong natal Mars in the 10th house, this transiting Mars is bringing me a rush of energy this week- but it’s intense and I’m having a hard time winding down. I’ve been making a lot of progress on a project at work but I can’t shut my brain down in the evening!

My third house is affected by this transit- third house is siblings and self drive and determination. I’ve been chatting with my brother more and more recently culminating in new opportunities to get to know each other as adults.

Full moon tomorrow in (Vedic) Gemini

The January Moon is known as the “Joyful Moon” in the Hopi tradition, because it traditionally marked the beginning of a social season of celebration. And this will certainly be a joyful Full Moon as it will occur in conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini. This is a combination that inspires new ideas, connections with others, and a sense of joy and lightness of being.

At the same time, the Full Moon will occupy Ardra nakshatra, which is ruled by Lord Rudra (Shiva), the God of the Storm. This placement suggests that the days around the Full Moon could bring some intense events or stormy weather, but also a cleansing and renewal of sorts. The Ardra Full Moon is an opportune time for confronting problems and releasing the past. Mantras, prayers, and pujas dedicated to Kali Mata and Lord Shiva will be especially potent and beneficial, especially if performed on the night of January 2nd.
