June 16, 1937 – April 27, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna Ruth Donnelly Turner, of Milwaukie, Oregon, who passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving behind family, friends, and many whose lives she touched.

Born in Vancouver, Washington, on June 16, 1937, Donna was primarily raised in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to attend the University of Oregon dental program, graduating in 1957 and beginning a long and meaningful career as a dental hygienist.

Donna was an accomplished and active woman throughout her life. In her younger years, she participated in athletics, Honor Society, Job’s Daughters, square dancing, and various clubs and community organizations. She remained professionally engaged as well, serving as an alternate delegate for the Oregon annual session of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association in 1994.

Donna was a woman of Lutheran faith and found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures. She loved swimming, knitting, camping, horses, building miniatures, and reading. In her later years, she especially enjoyed watching Disney movies, which brought her comfort and happiness.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Turner, in 1974, and her son, Boyd Turner, in 2014.

She is survived by her children: Kelly Silveus, Maxwell Turner, Mary Turner Barnett, Duane Turner, and April Shapley, along with 27 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and dear friends.

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may peace be found in knowing that the memories Donna created will continue to shape and inspire those who loved her. Though her physical presence is gone, her spirit lives on in the kindness shared, the stories remembered, and the quiet joys she cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Canby Funeral Chapel, 160 S Grant Street, Canby, Oregon 97013.

Family and friends are invited to send flowers, light a candle in her memory, or leave a message of sympathy in remembrance of Donna.

Simona Lionedes Amaya

Simona Amaya, of Molalla, passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on September 9, 1957, Though Simona struggled with medical issues since childhood, she faced life with strength, resilience, and love. She found joy in music, gardening, and spending time with the people she cherished most.

Simona was the beloved daughter of Macario and Elvira Amaya and was the second youngest of fifteen children. Growing up in a large family helped shape her strong, caring nature and the deep value she placed on family throughout her life.

She worked for many years as both a restaurant cook and a school cook, where she was known for her hard work and dedication. Caring for others came naturally to Simona, whether through the meals she prepared or the warmth she shared with those around her.

Above all else, Simona’s greatest pride and deepest love were her daughter and grandchildren. She loved her daughter fiercely and wholeheartedly and always enjoyed creating special memories together. Whether it was attending concerts, sharing laughs, or simply running errands together, her daughter was at the center of her world. One cherished memory was taking her daughter to Warped Tour despite injuring her leg only weeks before. A perfect example of the determination and love Simona had for the people she cared about.

Her grandchildren, Helena and Gerard, brought immense joy and purpose to her life. Simona treasured every moment spent with them, from everyday conversations to simply being present for them. She proudly kept every craft, drawing, and even schoolwork they made, cherishing each one as a reminder of the love and memories they shared.

Music was one of Simona’s greatest passions. She especially loved bands such as Journey, Guns N' Roses, Tesla, and Green Day. She loved attending concerts and making memories with the people she loved. She also found peace and happiness in gardening.

She is survived by her daughter; son-in-law; her beloved grandchildren, Helena and Gerard; eight siblings; extended family members; and loved ones who will deeply miss her.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Simona will be remembered for her fierce love of family, her love of music, and the strength she carried throughout her life. Her favorite saying, “Love you to the moon and back,” perfectly reflected the endless love she gave to those around her.

Nancy Jean Thomas

Nancy Jean (Roberts) Thomas went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at her loving Foster Care home in Oregon City. She was 83.

Nancy was born November 28, 1942 to her parents Marvin and Margaret Roberts who proceeded her in death. She grew up in SE Portland and graduated from Franklin High School and then attended business school. Her older sister Caryl proceeded her in death. She always described herself as a tomboy and would most likely be found out in the field playing baseball with the boys.

Nancy was a devoted wife to Jim Thomas for 62 years and a loving mother to Lora (Thomas) Fahlgren (Greg), Jonathan Thomas (Dawn) and David Stover. Nancy was a church secretary at Open Bible Church for many years as well as managed a Hallmark store which meant she never ran out of cards to send or an abundance of Christmas ornaments for her tree. Nancy enjoyed leading bible studies, singing in the church choir, playing for the church's softball team as a pitcher, writing poems, telling stories, hosting holidays and events, camping trips, spending time in Hawaii with Jim, family beach trips to the Oregon Coast and spending time with her family and especially loved anything that had to do with her grandkids including their birthdays and sporting events.

Nancy was Grammy to Tyler Fahlgren (Kelsey), Emily Thomas (Irving) Isaiah (great grandson), Eric Thomas (Brittney), and Hayley Fahlgren and Nana to Megan Catherine.

Her faith in Jesus and devotion to her family and friends is what she will be remembered for. She was always there to lend a helping hand or give an encouraging word to anyone that needed it.

In lieu of flowers remember the impact she had on your life and share kindness and the love of Jesus with others in her honor.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 6, 2026 at 1:00pm at Valley Christian Church 11188 SW Wilsonville Road, Wilsonville OR.
