Install Support Grab Bars: Bolt grab bars securely to the wall studs next to the toilet and inside the shower.

Avoid using towel racks or suction-cup bars for body weight support.

Use a shower chair or bench to sit down while bathing.

Use an elevated toilet seat if sitting down or standing up is hard.

Install bright night lights along the path from the bedroom to the bathroom.

Put non-slip mats or rubber stickers inside the tub and shower.

Place a non-skid rug on the floor just outside the tub for dry footing.

Remove all loose scatter rugs from the bathroom floor.

Wipe up water spills on the floor right away.
