Shop well, shop small💜
Who remembers Pat Le Vesque’s? 🙋🏻♀️
It was a destination store.
A Cannon Falls landmark.
…..This next part wasn’t planned…
When I packed for my recent trip to Banff, I packed one of my favorite pieces from this spring—our sweatshirt with pockets.
Before leaving, I’d also been going through old photos from our trip to Banff in 1994 and uploaded them to my phone.
As I scrolled through the photos on our flight to Banff, I literally laughed out loud.
There I was…standing at Emerald Lake wearing almost the exact same sweatshirt 31 years ago.
The one in 1994 came from Pat Le Vesque’s.
It made me smile, but it also reminded me of something I believe when it comes to getting dressed:
The best wardrobes aren’t built by chasing every trend. They’re built by knowing what feels like you.
Apparently, I’ve loved the color sunkist orange for over 30 years. 😊
Of course I love bringing in the latest colors and styles!
My goal at Swan and Bower: to find pieces that feel current today, but won’t feel dated tomorrow.
The cozy sweatshirt.
The favorite pair of jeans.
The sweater you pack without even thinking because it just feels like you.
Thirty-one years ago, I shopped at one of the best destination stores around.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful that so many of you make the trip to Cannon Falls to visit Swan and Bower.
And for the locals who visit us- thanks for helping to keep Mainstreet vibrant 🫶🏻
Some things really are timeless. 🧡
