March 30 is Doctors’ Day, an annual observance aimed at appreciating physicians who help save our lives everywhere. The holiday first started in 1933 in Winder, Georgia, and since then it’s been honored every year on March 30 which was the first anniversary of a doctor using ether anesthesia by Dr. Crawford W. Long. Today we continue to celebrate medical advances like these and thank all doctors everywhere who’ve spent so much time and energy mastering their field of expertise.

Congratulations Dana Short who was part of our team for many years.

Dana is one of our newer employees at Cherokee County 9-1-1. She is currently one of our call takers and has recently been given her first commendation by Director Bonebrake. Dana answered a call involving a child who's fingers were partially amputated. With Dana's quick thinking and instruction to the mother, doctor's were able to reattach the child's fingers and a full recovery is expected.

Due to the anticipated hazardous road conditions, the North Georgia Pain Clinic has made the decision to open at 12:00 pm. All patients with appointments before 12:00 pm are asked to come in from 12-3:30 pm without an appointment.
You do NOT need to Call the office unless you are unable to come in during that time. Please send a message through the portal.
