One of the most encouraging trends we've seen over the past several years is that more people genuinely want to become healthier, not just treat disease.
Some people are able to make incredible progress on their own.
But many benefit from additional guidance, accountability, and, in some cases, medical support to help optimize their health.
One of the most common questions we hear with our lifestyle/longevity programs is:
“Will my insurance cover it?”
It's an understandable question.
Most of us spend a significant amount on health insurance, so naturally we hope to use those benefits.
The challenge is that our healthcare system and insurance plans are generally designed to diagnose and treat illness or manage disease once it develops.
They often provide much less coverage for services focused on prevention, optimization, and longevity and helping people become healthier before serious problems occur.
That doesn't mean investing in your health isn't worth it.
In fact, one of the best investments you can make is in yourself.
When people improve their nutrition, optimize hormones when appropriate, build muscle, improve metabolic health, sleep better, reduce inflammation, and address underlying health issues, they often experience benefits that extend far beyond how they feel today. They frequently have more energy, greater resilience, improved quality of life, and may reduce many of the long-term costs associated with chronic disease.
The cost of pursuing better health is often far less than the cost of living with declining health.
Don't let the question of "Will insurance pay for it?" become the reason you never take the first step.
Your health is one investment that has the potential to pay dividends every single day for the rest of your life.
Invest in yourself. Future you will be glad you did.
