Happy Friday, everyone! Our Marketing Director’s husband and son grow and sell sweet corn every summer. They decided to donate 3 dozen ears, to our residents, to enjoy with a meal. Nothing screams “summer” like fresh sweet corn! 🌽

Today’s department head spotlight features Suzette Waughtel.

Suzette is our receptionist. If you’ve ever come in the building or called, Suzette is most likely the first face you’ve seen or the voice you’ve heard.

Suzette was born and raised in Canton. She graduated from Canton High School in 1987. She has worked for Renaissance for just over 20 years. Suzette started as a CNA, for 15 years then moved to the receptionist position in 2020.

Suzette has a significant other, 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters and a black cat named Kitty. Outside of work, she enjoys going to Arizona twice a year to visit her daughter and family there.

Suzette says she loves working at Renaissance and it was a hard decision for her to stop working the floor, as a CNA, but she still gets to interact with all the residents and their families. Suzette also says that her mom was at Renaissance, several times over the years, for therapy. She says her mom grew to love everyone here. Unfortunately, her mom passed in 2022, but Suzette loved having her right at her place of employment.

Suzette is always so kind to everyone who calls or walks in the door and we appreciate all she does!
