Lunchroom anxiety is real: and you don’t have to solve the whole social scene at once. 💜
Try one low-pressure move:
1️⃣ Find a lunch buddy ahead of time and make a simple plan.
2️⃣ Bring a book or sketchbook: it gives your hands something to do and can make conversation feel more natural.
3️⃣ Ask a trusted teacher or counselor about a quieter space if the cafeteria feels overwhelming.
Feeling nervous doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. Social anxiety can make everyday moments feel high-stakes, and predictable plans plus small, manageable steps can help build confidence over time.
