A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lisa McLeod and the entire team at Cherokee Women's Health for your support, collaboration and the many patients you've entrusted to my care.

I'm so grateful to partner with providers who share the same goal: helping women feel heard, supported and empowered throughout every stage of life.

Thank you for recognizing the importance of pelvic health and for continuing to advocate for your patients' well-being. It is truly an honor to be part of their journey!

I never take your trust, or your referrals, for granted. 🤍 Here's to caring for our community together!

More pelvic floor contractions don't always mean better results, which is why understanding what your body actually needs is more important than doing thousands of Kegels.

As a small business owner, referrals mean so much more than helping my practice grow.

They mean someone trusted me enough with their story, their healing and their experience that they wanted to share it with someone they care about.

Whether it's a friend, doctor, coworker, neighbor or spouse, I never take that trust for granted. Every time I hear:
✨ “My friend sent me.”
✨ “My sister told me about you.”
✨ “Everyone keeps saying I need to come see you.”

I’m reminded why I love what I do. Thank you for sharing my name, supporting my practice, and helping more people discover that they don't have to live with pain, leaking, pressure, or discomfort.

Your referrals are one of the biggest gifts you can give a small business, and I’m so grateful for every one of them. 🤍

June is Pelvic Organ Prolapse Awareness Month, and millions of women are silently dealing with symptoms they’ve been told are “normal after babies” or “just part of aging.”

Common signs of prolapse can include:
- pelvic pressure or heaviness
- urinary leakage
- difficulty emptying the bladder
- discomfort with exercise or intimacy
- feeling or seeing a bulge

Here’s the truth:
✨ Common does NOT mean normal.
✨ And you are not stuck with it.

Pelvic floor therapy, lifestyle changes and individualized care can make a huge difference. If you’ve been ignoring symptoms because you thought you had to “just deal with it,” this is your reminder to get support and ask questions. Your pelvic health matters.

What if healing doesn’t come from pushing harder? 🤍 One of the most powerful things I’ve learned through Myofascial Release is this:

The body doesn’t heal through force. It heals when it feels safe enough to let go.
When we push, the body often pushes back.
When we slow down, soften, and listen … that’s when real change can happen.

Sometimes healing isn’t about doing more. Sometimes it’s about creating the space for your body to finally exhale. Gentle doesn’t mean ineffective. And softening is not weakness. 🤍

Birth isn’t just about pushing harder. It’s about working with your body, not against it. Instead of forceful pushing, try:

✨ Breathe your baby out with slow, controlled exhales
✨ Low, deep sounds (think “mmmm” or “ahhh”) to help your pelvic floor relax
✨ Long exhales to gently support your uterus as it contracts
✨ Relaxing, not bearing down. Less strain, more efficiency.

Because when you bear down hard, you’re creating pressure from the top down — and that’s not always the most effective way for your body to birth your baby. Practicing pelvic floor relaxation (even during bowel movements) can help you build this awareness before labor.

Your body was designed for this. Sometimes it just needs the right support and guidance. Let’s work together to help you feel prepared, confident and connected going into birth. 🤍

Because pelvic health is personal. And for many, it’s connected to experiences that deserve to be approached with care, respect and sensitivity.

Being a trauma-informed provider means:
🤍 You are always in control of your care
🤍 Consent and comfort come first
🤍 Your story is heard without judgment
🤍 Your pace is honored, always

My goal has always been to create a space where you feel safe, supported and truly listened to. This certification allows me to do that even more intentionally. You deserve care that honors your whole experience, not just your symptoms.

If your body feels tense, guarded, or worse after treatment … it’s not helping.

Your fascia is connected to your nervous system.
When it feels force or pain, it often tightens more — not less.

Healing happens when your body feels safe.
That’s why gentle myofascial release can be so powerful.

Slow, sustained pressure allows your body to relax and actually let go.
Gentle doesn’t mean ineffective.

And forcing change isn’t the same as creating it.
Your body doesn’t need to be pushed harder.
It needs to feel safe enough to release. 🤍
