✨ 6 Weeks Pregnant: What’s the Difference? ✨

At just 6 weeks gestation, a transvaginal ultrasound will often provide a much clearer and more detailed view than a transabdominal ultrasound.

🤍 Transabdominal Ultrasound
• Performed over the belly
• Image quality can be more limited this early in pregnancy

🤍 Transvaginal Ultrasound
• Provides a closer view of the pregnancy
• Often allows us to see more detail at 5–7 weeks
• May help visualize the gestational sac, yolk sac, fetal pole, and heartbeat sooner
