This is one of my travel essentials.

Most people focus on hydration, compression socks, or avoiding jet lag. But few people think about the invisible environmental stressors we’re exposed to when we travel.

Hours surrounded by electronic devices, Wi-Fi signals, Bluetooth connections, and other forms of electromagnetic exposure can add to the overall stress load on the body.

Did you know that physicians receive very limited nutrition education during medical training?

Medical school is incredibly demanding, but the curriculum traditionally focuses heavily on diagnosing disease, pharmacology, and procedures. Nutrition, lifestyle medicine, sleep, stress management, and other foundational health factors often receive far less attention than many people realize.

This is one reason many patients leave appointments with a prescription but little guidance on the daily habits that influence long-term health.

Medication absolutely has its place, and it saves lives in acute situations. But when it comes to prevention, our healthcare system is not designed to spend much time addressing the lifestyle factors that contribute to chronic disease in the first place.

What you eat.
How you sleep.
How you move.
Your stress levels.
Your environment.
Your relationships.

These factors influence how your body functions every single day.

True health requires looking at the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Cortisol is not your enemy. It’s a hormone that’s supposed to peak in the morning and dip at night. A wave, not a flatline. The problem isn’t that yours is “too high”, the problem is that the rhythm is off.

What actually helps:
🌅 Morning sunlight in your eyes within 30 min of waking
🍳 Protein at breakfast
🌙 Same sleep + wake time, even on weekends

What won’t:
❌ Cortisol mocktails
❌ Cold plunges at 9pm
❌ Skipping breakfast “to fast”

You don’t need to lower it. You need to listen to it.

I used to spend so much money on supplements.

What changed for me was realizing that many conventional vitamins are synthetic isolates, while our bodies were designed to recognize nutrients from real food sources.

For thousands of years, organ meats were valued for a reason. Liver, heart, kidney, and spleen are some of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet.
