EDUCATION MONDAY 👨⚕️👀 | Men’s Mental Health Month
June is Men’s Mental Health Month, and it’s a reminder that taking care of your health includes taking care of your eyes.
Long hours at work, screen time, stress, poor sleep, and avoiding routine checkups can affect both mental well-being and visual comfort.
Common symptoms that may overlap with stress, fatigue, or digital overload:
Eye strain and tired eyes
-Headaches
-Blurred vision
-Dry, irritated eyes
-Difficulty concentrating after prolonged screen use
Simple habits that help both mind and eyes:
-Take regular screen breaks (20-20-20 rule).
-Prioritize sleep.
-Get outside for natural light and movement.
-Schedule routine comprehensive eye exams.
Men are often less likely to seek preventive care. A regular eye exam isn’t just about glasses—it can help identify eye strain, dry eye issues, prescription changes, and other health concerns early.
This month, encourage the men in your life—and yourself—to make eye health part of overall wellness. 💙👓
