✨ Even more exciting news from North Star Pediatric Therapy! ✨

Our North Star family is growing even more, and we are so excited to welcome Aidynn Woods, COTA/L to the team!

Aidynn is joining us in a part-time role, and we are thrilled to have someone who shares our passion for helping children and families thrive. Her compassion, enthusiasm, and dedication to pediatric therapy make her a wonderful addition to North Star Pediatric Therapy.

Outside of the clinic, Aidynn loves heading out on adventures with her loved ones and proudly embraces her roles as a devoted cat mom and favorite auntie. We are so excited for the warmth, energy, and caring spirit she brings to our North Star family.

We’re especially excited about the added flexibility this brings to the families we serve. Aidynn will be offering multiple late afternoon appointments and select Saturday morning sessions, creating more options for busy families and helping us better meet the needs of our community.

✨ More appointments. More flexibility. More opportunities for children to thrive. ✨

As North Star Pediatric Therapy continues to grow, we remain committed to providing compassionate, family-centered care and making therapy more accessible for children throughout Aroostook County.

We are so grateful to have Aidynn on this journey with us and can’t wait for all the amazing things ahead with these fabulous new additions to our crew!

We’re excited to welcome Pickett Up Speech to our community! Providing speech and feeding therapy services, Abbey Pickett, MA, CCC-SLP, is helping expand access to pediatric care for families across Aroostook County.

At North Star Pediatric Therapy, we believe children benefit most when families have access to a strong network of providers working together to support their growth and success.

Congratulations, Abbey, on your new venture! We wish you all the best and are excited to see the impact you’ll make in our community.

As the school year comes to an end, many children experience increased sensory overwhelm from changes in routine, testing, special events, and big emotions surrounding transitions.

What may look like “acting out” can actually be a child struggling to regulate their nervous system.

Sensory overwhelm may look like avoiding participation, covering ears or hiding, excessive movement or fidgeting, or emotional outbursts or frustration.

Understanding the “why” behind behaviors helps us respond with compassion and support.

If you’re noticing these signs in your child, North Star Pediatric Therapy is here to help.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at North Star Pediatric Therapy 💐

Today we celebrate every kind of mom behind the scenes doing the hard, beautiful, often unseen work each and every day.

To the moms cutting tags out of shirts, packing safe snacks, managing therapy appointments, researching late into the night, leaving events early, surviving car meltdowns, celebrating tiny wins, and loving your children fiercely through it all — we see you.

Parenting is never one-size-fits-all, and neither is the journey your family may be on. Your patience, advocacy, resilience, and unconditional love make a difference every single day, even on the days that feel exhausting or overwhelming.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s journey. We are endlessly grateful for the amazing families in our North Star community.

We hope today you feel appreciated, supported, and celebrated — because you truly deserve it.

Happy Mother’s Day! 💕

✨ Big Thank You from North Star Pediatric Therapy! ✨

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of our amazing patients and families for your patience and flexibility during our recent construction project. We know it’s been a little bit different than usual—and we truly appreciate your understanding as we work to grow and improve our space for you!

We’re excited to share that we’re so close to the finish line… just a few baseboards and molding pieces away! In the meantime, we couldn’t wait any longer to give you a little sneak peek at the progress we’ve made so far 👀

We also want to extend a huge thank you to Ryan Plante and his crew at Plante Home Improvement LLC for their hard work, attention to detail, and for being so wonderful to work in creating new treatment rooms from scratch. We are incredibly grateful for the care they’ve put into helping us bring this vision to life!

We can’t wait to welcome you into our updated space very soon. Thank you letting us be a part of your community!

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Lionheart DPC and Dr. Rutmann on such an important message for our community. Their work highlights the power of connection, regulation, and support in helping children and families thrive.

We also want to recognize the incredible colleagues across our region who continue to share their voices, knowledge, and passion for supporting children’s development. It truly takes a community working together to create meaningful change.

One message we want to emphasize again and again: early intervention matters.
Research consistently shows that the early years are a critical window for development, when a child’s brain is most adaptable and responsive to support.
When we identify challenges early and provide the right supports, we can make a lasting impact—not just for the child, but for the entire family.

If you have questions about your child’s development or are wondering if speech, occupational, or physical therapy could help, we encourage you to reach out. You don’t have to wait or figure it out alone—we’re here to help guide you.

Together, we can support children in reaching their fullest potential.
