We have appointments available TODAY with Dr. Tancioni and Dr. Geertsema for both traditional pets and exotic companions. If you’ve been putting off an appointment because of the rainy weather, now is a great time to get your pet in!

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

At Companion Animal Wellness Center, we have a very special breast cancer warrior of our own. 💗 Some of you may already know her — her name is Brenda, one of our amazing RVTs!

Brenda brings so much light, knowledge, compassion, and strength to our hospital. She has been through so much over the years, and now she is once again facing the fight against cancer.

Here at CAWC, we are standing beside her every step of the way. We want her to know that she has our love, our support, and the time and space she needs to focus on healing and getting stronger. She gives so much of herself to our patients, their families, and our team, and now it’s our turn to be there for her. 💕

To our extended CAWC family, we ask that you please send Brenda all the healing thoughts, positive energy, love, and light you can as she continues this fight. ✨

Brenda, you are loved more than you know. You are not fighting alone — we are right here beside you. 💗🎀

🕯️🐾 Día de los Mu***os: Honoring the Pets We Carry in Our Hearts 🌼

In celebration of Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead), Companion Animal Wellness Center will be creating a special Ofrenda (memorial altar) in our lobby to honor the cherished pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Día de los Mu***os is a beautiful tradition rooted in the belief that, during this special time, the spirits of loved ones who have passed are welcomed back to visit with those who love and remember them. An Ofrenda is created as a place of remembrance and welcome, often decorated with photographs, flowers, candles, favorite foods, and meaningful objects that help tell the story of those who are being honored.

While traditionally centered around human loved ones, we know that our animals are family, too. Their lives may be shorter than ours, but the love they leave behind is just as profound.

🌼 This year, our Ofrenda will honor the pets who have touched our lives and remain forever in our hearts.

The memorial will be displayed in our lobby beneath the Companion Animal Wellness Center logo and will feature Dr. Bausone’s beloved pug, Jackie, as a special reminder of the deep and enduring bond we share with our animal companions.

💛 We invite you to add your beloved pet to our Ofrenda.

If you have a pet who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, please bring in a photo of your pet to clip to our memorial. You may also include a small note with their name or a few words about what made them special.

Together, we can create a beautiful space where we remember the wagging tails, purrs, silly personalities, unconditional love, and countless memories our pets gave us.

🌈 They may no longer walk beside us, but their love remains part of our family forever.

With our pets, and for our pets. 🐾❤️
